   Very nice experience at Belmont, as usual. The vegetarian dishes – potatoes, broccolini and brussels sprouts – were the most flavourful of the many we ordered. Lovely surprises and balance! Scallop crudo was nice but lacked punch and halibut was pretty ordinary. But overall, we were pleased.

   The duck confit was excellent :) the best of the three dishes we tried.

   Great neighbourhood restaurant with delicious food, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff- only complaint is that it’s always busy, so you have to plan ahead to eat here!

   The food is always great at the Belmont, but what I really was impressed with were the metal straws! Super simple solution I have not seen these at any other restaurant. Thanks for ditching the paper and plastic and using a sustainable solution for drinks.

   High quality food and cocktails that were expertly crafted with care. The sharing plates had such unique flavour combinations that were amazingly balanced (scallops, endive salad, chicken, bread service), with everything cooked to perfection. The cocktails were lovely with a strong but not overwhelming amount of alcohol. Waiters were very attentive and friendly without hovering.

   Amazing food, lovely service, nice atmosphere (music is a little loud but by no means offensively so). This is a special spot in Ottawa; highly recommended!

    I had the Turkish eggs and they were amazing, poached to perfection and very flavourful. The place was very calm and great to have a conversation with your party. The service staff was very friendly and put great care into our order, as well as suggesting menu items that could be of our interest.
