Another wonderful meal. and fabulous service. The crab soup was great, just enough spice . The cottage pie was just as tasty as last week . Ordered the risotto this time and it was so so good. We had the pumpkin creme brulee and the honey ice cream. The ice cream was great but the pumpkin OMG was good. Service was was over the top again . There are places in town that would benefit learning what they do there and hiring the students to improve their establishments. Never fail to amaze .

Our first time and we loved it. Our server Mariana was especially great. The food was very good and the portion sizes were enough for leftovers. The pumpkin crème brûlée was perfection. We’ll def go back!

The food was wonderful! The choices ranged from a " standard" meal of short ribs with mashed potatoes which was beautifully presented and delicious to a vegan entree of a hearts of palm with chickpea cake that was absolutely amazing. Our server, Megan, was delightful; she fully described the vegan entree which I wanted to try, but was hesitant. When she described it, I decided to try it, and I was so impressed with it, that I am trying to find a recipe for it! All the food was fresh, well prepared and overall it was a wonderful dinner. Can't wait to go back!

Two people in the party had the cottage pie, which was a beef pot pie. They were pleased that it was not too salty like many restaurant dishes are today. Another ordered , the winter squash risotto, which was puréed squash with the rice and the fourth had the Scottish salmon which was perfectly done.

200 Monroe is the restaurant used to train the hospitality and culinary students at Frederick Community College. They ask that you fill out a card to provide the students feedback on the service and the food. The prix fixe menu rotates every semester. It is a very fun experience to provide the students with the opportunity to practice their skills, and they are terrific. The food is very good and well prepared, although it (understandably) has something of an institutional feel to it. We had a lovely evening there, and if you're up for a slightly different dining experience that supports the students at FCC, I highly recommend it.
