    Expensive, but food was delicious. Restaurant obviously specializes in beef, but both the steak and salmon were quite good as was the salad. Would be nice to offer a couple of Vegan choices. Our server was polite, friendly and efficient.

    We were seated at the best table for 2 and our waiter was outstanding! Food was fabulous. We come to Newport twice a year and love eating at Bowens!!

    Everything was delicious and the service was impeccable! We got the specials, a grass-fed, grass-finished ribeye and a cod & lobster dish. The clam chowder is tasty. The side portions are plentiful; we got the truffle mac & cheese and the brussel sprouts. Was way too full to try desserts 😬.

    My husband and I had lunch there 2 weeks ago. My clam chowder and cold lobster roll were absolutely delicious, as were the mussels. We returned today and I was extremely disappointed. My clam chowder was so lemony that I ate less than half (I initially considered sending it back). At first I thought it was too much dill, but it had a too strong citrus flavor. My lobster roll was also disappointing. The filling just was not as good as 2 weeks ago. The mussels were good, although my husband did not think they were as good as before. My husband enjoyed his halibut very much, as did my son his fish and chips. My daughter was somewhat disappointed with her tuna salad. As good as it was 2 weeks ago, I don’t anticipate returning for a while.

    We had an outstanding dinner at 22 Bowen! Our server Sarah was unobtrusively perfect. We had the scallop app, oysters, cauliflower steak, rack of lamb and seven fishes (special).
