                                                                                                                Lovely restaurant. This was our first time dining there. The ambience is very nice, and if you sit by the window, you have a very nice elevated view of the adorable ice-skating rink and the harbor. Our server was a charming lady. The service was just a bit slow, but otherwise totally accurate and very friendly. The kale caesar salad was fantastic in portion and in taste. My husband had the ribs with pasta which he said was fabulous as well. Our daughter had the quesadillas with fruit from the children’s menu. I was nicely surprised that they offer a children’s menu. The side of fruit served with the quesadillas is a huge portion and very fresh fruit. My only complaint about the menu is that it was limited, with only a couple of salad options.

                                                                                                                Valentine’s cheesecake was the only disappointment. The lighting, the live piano music, the server even recommended a terrific bottle of wine! I got the prime rib prix fix and it was fantastic!!!! 10/10, but feel free to skip out on the valentine’s cheesecake. Although it came with a fresh rose which was fun to take pics with :)

                                                                                                                Excellent dinner - seafood and steaks. Very friendly, informative service. Large fireplace, paint wood beams. Romantic atmosphere.

My only problem is that the menu on open table doesn’t match restaurant menu. I had already decided what to have but was disappointed to find the restaurant menu drastically different from what was shown on open table. Also the tiramisu was frozen. Pretty sure it’s not supposed to be.

                                                                                                                Stayed the night the abbey and had a very enjoyable evening. It is such a treat to have this facility locally. I was looking forward to dinner and ordered the Saturday prime rib special. The steak was all fat, not how I ordered. I am not one to complain but I wish it would have been a better experience.

                                                                                                                Our experience at 240 West was disappointing. The service was lacking, the food was mediocre, and the booth we were seated in was uncomfortable. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet our expectations, and we do not plan to return to 240 West or the Abbey Resort.

                                                                                                                The mid elder waitress with a gimp took 15 mins to come over to us to bring water and forgot the lemon we asked for after that. Asked if we could sub the side of mushrooms with the filet steak for another side since all the sides are the same extract price, she immediately said NO, and then said I will check with manager. Was gone for 20 mins came back and said you ready, completely disregarded our question she was supposed to go find out. She did not care at all, the restaurant was not busy as this is off season, and it was 5:00 pm there was other servers in there and only a few tables of customers. We got up and left, The food looked horrible as we were walking out, steaks were grey. She did not want to do her job at all and for such pricey food they should have trained staff that knows simple questions, that are prompt, friendly and want to work.
