Perth’s 63 Tay Street is regularly billed as one of Scotland’s top restaurants. Set in a typical imposing grey stone building, the small but perfectly formed dining room is pure elegance from soaring ceilings to polished wood floors. The menu is made up of British classics given a contemporary twist, so you’ll find your Aberdeen Angus served with an oxtail sauce and your Inverurie lamb rack, neck and shank may be served with traditional neeps, but you’ll also find chorizo mash on your plate. The use of fresh, local ingredients and fine produce sourced from further afield means that every dish promises to delight those tastebuds.

We booked a last minute weekend away for our wedding anniversary. We wanted somewhere special and 63 Tay street fitted the bill. Great food, service and value for money.

As ever we had a very enjoyable meal in a very relaxing restaurant with minimum fuss and excellent attentive service. There was an excellent variety of dishes and our courses were very tasty.

We had the 5 course taster menu. It was excellent and we had more than enough to eat. The service was excellent and we liked the venue. We will go again.

Myself and a friend visited for the 'steak night' deal. I have previously visited for the 4 course weekday menu which is also excellent and highly recommended. The food was cooked to perfection and the waiter was friendly and helpful. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Solid cookery, well done chef! Service was efficient and courteous. Great value for a Saturday lunch, I’ll be back next time I’m in Perth!

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, particularly enjoyed the take on the cheesecake dessert. Nice wine list too. Pleasant situation by the river and handy for the town centre. Nice size also - not too many covers. Definitely deserves all the awards it has won on the evidence of our visit.

Celebrated hubby's birthday with the 5 course tasting menu. Delicious, and well worth the money. The dessert was to die for!!! Excellent wine list, knowledgeable waiting staff and all round great service. Lovely views out over the river, my only comment would be that maybe they turn the volume up on the music to create a bit more ambience.

Service good, food excellent, couldn’t fault it. But vegetarian choice of dishes restricted and a bottle of Cava cost 40 quid, first time I’ve had to pay such a price for Cava.
