Please join us at 740 Front in Historic Downtown Louisville. Designated historical, 740 is one of Colorado's two oldest remaining saloons; transformed back to its 1904 roots; a traditional American dining saloon with a turn of the century ambiance featuring a magnificent room dominating bar, built in 1880 by the Brunswick Company,. The copper spit trough, once equipped with running water, still exists at the front of the bar. Louisville, notorious for its drinking, gambling, and illegal activities, evidence of the occasional misunderstanding is the .22 caliber bullet hole in the front bar.
The bar offers a selection of craft beers, wines, handcrafted cocktails and an extensive craft bourbon selection.

740 Front is special gem. It hits on all levels. The food is delicious, the stuff is authentic and friendly, and the service is attentive. The owners did a fantastic job of renovating this historic building. It's worth coming to just to see the back bar that dates from the 1800s and was built without nails. We moved to Boulder from New York City 3 years ago and, in our opinion, this is the best restaurant in the area, and holds its own with our favorites in New York.

This is the first time I have eaten here, and I was so impressed! The food was delicious! We started with the baked oyster special with asiago cheese which was amazing! We also shared the wedge salad and the Snake River Farms steak special. Everything was so good!

Favorite place on the planet. This is a my very own Cheers bar (but far more elegant!) and with a fabulous dining experience attached! Can’t recommend it highly enough

We always enjoy our evenings at 7:40 front. The new addition of Seabass was a wonderful addition.

Lively Friday night atmosphere and attentive service. Delicious fresh Boston lettuce house salad with excellent vinaigrette. Nice seafood-packed cannelloni with smooth saffron sauce. Fabulous steamed mussels in tomato wine broth and hearty bread for dipping. Seems like all the dishes are excellent.

Our food was well-prepared and the portion were appropriate. Prices have gone up significantly over the years -- it's more of a special occasion place now.

Beautiful room, dominated by the magnificent old bar. Lots of good food to choose from. Service was between slow and very slow which degraded our experience.
