   Every course was better than the last. Our service was impeccable. The cocktails and wine superb. Our all star courses were the mushrooms, gnocchi, ragu, bolognese, the short rib and the sea bass. And the chocolate flourless cake and pana cotta. We cannot wait to come back and do it all over again.

   Our dining experience at A Tavola was tip-top in terms of cozy ambiance and excellent, attentive service. The cocktails were inspired, especially a not-too-sweet limoncello martini. The grilled portobello starter and the lamb main course were done to perfection...the clams and mussels appetizer was very tasty though would have enjoyed a larger portion. Short ribs over saffron risotto looked "tired" and dry...tagliatelle alla bolognese was "ok"...not very authentic-tasting bolognese. Over-all very good, but somewhat disappointing food service compared to earlier experience at A Tavola.

   What a lovely evening celebrating my friends birthday. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the ambiance was very charming. A little pricey for the amount of food but over all I would recommend. The menu is a little limited . They offered a complimentary dessert with candle to top the evening off. A sweet little secret place…

   Amazing tiny restaurant. We hadn't been in 15 years and it did not disappoint. Delicious, fresh food. Husband got the veal chop, I had the sea bass.. both were amazing, as was the mushroom appetizer. You can't go wrong here!

   I was so looking forward to this reservation but it did not live up to expectations. The gnocchi was very dry and bland, and the cacio e pepe was also significantly under sauced. It seems like it may have just been an off night based on other reviews, but very disappointing.

   This is one of the best Italian Restaurants in Chicago! Service is excellent, all of the food is spectacular! Definitely try the Limoncello Martini!
