   Reservation for the Christmas Eve buffet dinner. Seated promptly but in a corner facing a wall. Prior to sitting down I asked the hostess if we could sit at two other unoccupied counter seats and she said they were reserved. They remained unoccupied for almost the entire time we were in the restaurant. The buffet line was very long and our drinks were served while we were in the buffet line. Needless to say they were warm by the time we returned to our seats. I asked for a spoon for the soup and our server finally brought it as we returned with our dessert plates. I tried to be understanding considering it’s a holiday, but when you’re also charged an automatic service charge and the service is lacking, well… Most importantly, the food was delicious (can’t speak to the French Onion soup because- no spoon), lots of options- tried the lamb, prime rib, roasted chicken, and halibut. Plentiful sides and yummy dessert options. Would give this restaurant another try, but not on a holiday.

   Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the food. Regarding seating, you reserved the communal high-top table which is where we seated you. The other seats were reserved as well, but as the evening progressed, we were able to move some reservations to tables due to cancellations. Things can change rapidly, especially on a holiday, but we do need to hold reserved spots until we can confirm they are no longer needed. We sincerely apologize for the service issues you experienced, and we will address with your server. We reduced the gratuity to 18% to account for the buffet. We encourage guests to bring concerns to management's attention in real time so we can turn the experience around. We’d love the chance provide the exceptional service we strive for at a future date.

   Very long line at buffet, so going back a second time did not happen. Food was pretty good, but not as many options as one would expect. And 18% gratuity added for a buffet is ridiculous.

As for the 18% gratuity, we do our best to adjust it down for the buffet style, as many other restaurants charge a 20% gratuity on holidays regardless of service type.
