Antico Posto, “The Old Spot”, is an intimate Italian Cafe and Wine Bar carefully hidden in Oakbrook Center Mall. The neighborhood restaurant boasts a warm, and inviting atmosphere combined with simple Italian comfort food. Make yourself comfortable in one of the many booths, or enjoy the private dining space for celebrations and special occasions. House specialties include fresh mozzarella, hand-crafted pasta, brick-oven pizza and house-made gelato. The wine list features more than 30 Italian and domestic selections available by the glass, 1/2 bottle and bottle.                                                                                 Great meal. It was Valentine’s Day and the bar was a little slow. Service was great as was the food. Well done on one of the busiest nights of the year.

                                                                                To start we were seated in the enclosed exterior part of the restaurant which was cold. I also noticed others around us complaining about that as well. We both ordered soup to start out and asked our server to bring it out in about 5 minutes however soup took almost 20 minutes to arrive. I ordered the skirt steak medium. It came out rare and very chewy and I have eaten skirt steak in the past so definitely know how the texture is. It took our server a little while to come to the table to check on us so asked him to take it back and replace with another entree. We also noticed that our server when greeting other tables informing them the specials of the night. We were never told them. Overall a disappointment all around.

                                                                                We had a beautiful Valentine’s dinner. My husband said on the way home, “it was the best Italian he has had in a long time,” which I agree…authentic Italian. Service was spectacular for such a busy evening!! Our waiter didn’t rush us at all, as we like to have a couple hour dining experience. Can’t wait to return! 5 ⭐️

                                                                                Our server Hector completely ignored us once he took our order. We had to beg for water & coffee refills. Our plates sat on our table for an extremely long time until the busboy took pity on us & brought us containers for our leftovers. I frequent this restaurant approximately once every 6 weeks. I’ve had Hector at other times & his service was good Next visit I will ask not to be in his area

                                                                                From start to finish, the experience was perfection. The table was presented with the bread and olive oil that was excellent. The entrees were the best we ever eaten at the location.
