Dans ce restaurant à l’ambiance personnalisée, l’A.R Valentien, le chef Jeff Jackson met en avant les fruits de mer fraîchement pêchés, les viandes, ainsi que les produits laitiers. Le menu est déterminé et influencé par les ingrédients disponibles sur le marché selon les périodes et les saisons de l’année. Un certain nombre de fermes travaille avec le Lodge, et lui fournit les produits spécifiques dont il a besoin régulièrement. L’établissement a également établi un partenariat avec les compagnies de fruits de mer et de petits poissons locaux qui opèrent dans tout le sud de la Californie. De nombreux autres pourvoyeurs de la côte ouest sont amenés à collaborer avec le restaurant. It just doesn’t get any better than AR Valentien! The food is the most flavorful anywhere, and the presentation is lovely. The staff are top notch: professional, knowledgable and very friendly. Inside/outside; breakfast/dinner this is A Winner!

We had a fantastic experience. The staff were spectacular, the food was amazing, the ambiance, incredible. It was an anniversary celebration for us and the service blew us away, from the personalized menu to the amazing attention to detail by all the staff. A very happy experience all around. Outstanding! We heard that they would be closing for a kitchen remodel and had to come one last time. The menu is unique, the setting on the outside patio is idyllic, and the service never disappoints.

AR Valentien is one of our favorite restaurants. Our server Mick was very attentive as were the other staff. Mick has been our server a few times. He remembered us and what we like. The food is always excellent.

As usual a special evening of fine dining, all courses superb from the chicken liver pate to the beautiful duck and halibut; we paired it all with a fine Peay Pinot and then topped it off with a digestif in the bar by the fire. One of San Diego's two finest, along with Wolf in the Woods in Mission Hills.
