Artu was founded on the most basic Italian technique, great ingredients, simply prepared, that is what Artu is all about.

In February of 1992 Artu opened its doors to the world, starting with outstanding sandwiches and mouth watering roasted meats, we continued to evolve and grow. Since then we have steadily added to our repertoire. From those sandwiches and roasted meats, we have produced old-world comfort food dishes to current interpretations of those classics that still make the most discerning eater reminisce of their childhood.

The host was excellent. We got there an hour before our 9pm reservation… he took are name and personally made note where we were sitting at the bar…and personally came over to let us know our table was ready 15 minutes earlier than reserved. Very impressed with his professionalism. He had to been exhausted as it was later in the evening on the very busy Valentine’s Day evening. The food was served quickly and the waiter was also just the right amount of attentiveness.

Unfortunately, our dining experience was much lower than our expectations. I brought my wife here for dinner and I ordered the braised beef ravioli which was 3 raviolis and about 2 entire cups of mushrooms. My wife had lobster ravioli and lobster and shrimp sautéed on the side which was so salty she could not even eat it. Very disappointing experience. I suppose this is what we get for the only restaraunt in the north end with availability for a reservation. The music was also pretty awful and the atmosphere was loud, crowded and very unaesthetic.

Not impressed. No olive oil mix for bread, pasta cooked horrible. Not authentic Italian food. Caprese salad tomatoes yellow, olive oil used not Italian, no salt or cracked pepper on table. Where do I stop.

Decided that V-Day lunch would be easier than dinner and we were 100% right and didn’t sacrifice ambience or flavor. We had a nice quiet lunch in a table next to the window. The food was excellent and drinks were delicious. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Seated immediately away from door which was very welcomed. Greeted by our waiter quickly. Drinks and appetizer delivered promptly. Food was delicious and sorely needed after a bruins game.

We arrived early and our table was ready. We were not rushed at all. Everything was great! Drinks were awesome and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back.

Wonderful dinner! Salad was super fresh with a lovely light dressing, entree (sausages, vinegar peppers, and potatoes) is absolutely one of the best meals in the neighborhood. Excellent service and ambience.

We were seated in a room with no windows, felt like a closet. We did not order appetizers and our meals came 5 minutes after we ordered while we were still eating the bread. It was ridiculous. We said something to the waiter and he agreed and said to check and make sure the chicken is cooked through! We were here for a birthday dinner and it was notated on our reservation. Got nothing to acknowledge the birthday and done eating within 30 minutes of walking in. Less than pleasant experience. No one cared. Will not be back.

Great food. Service wonderful service and ambience. Unlike a lot of spaces this restaurant has plenty of room.
