   We ordered the calamari (best we’d ever had in our opinion), the brussel sprouts, and the agnolotti. It was superb. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to go again.

   Great service as always. My pasta pomadoro was delicious! Excellent wine choices. One of our fave places for dinner in the hood.

   ***EDIT: the owner responded which is nice but we already gave the restaurant a chance to get it right and we don’t feel like we want to go back and spend that kind of money just to get the service we should have received the first time.*** Came for our anniversary, indicated it was such on the reservation and didn’t not get a single ounce of extra service or detail. We did get to see the older couple next to us get treated for their birthday, though which must’ve been nice for them. The table we were seated at was separated from a table that was already seating 4 and we were placed right next to them despite the restaurant being more than half empty. Food was good, not much choice but it’s well done. Prices are just ok because the service is not up to par for a restaurant of that calibre. The server kept reaching across the empty table next to us to bring food or take our dishes. Another server kept wedging himself between the small space of our table and the one next to us to serve them. He bumped my drink on multiple occasions with his derrière, kinda distasteful to be honest. I had to lean over for him to pass when he could’ve just walked around.

   Our second time at Ascari. This time we sat at the bar and had a wonderful experience. Patrick served up some truly delicious cocktails and provided unparalleled service and company. The food was delicious and the atmosphere and energy in the restaurant was very enjoyable. Will definitely return.

   Thursday November 21. The food was very good and service was attentive. When the restaurant was full, the noise level made hearing our group's conversation difficult.

   Literally always an amazing dinner at ascari. The food, service is just top notch. I’m so lucky it’s in our neighbourhood - and we say to each other every time we go it gets better somehow. 10/10 best spot in Leslieville!
