The original jewel in the Oliver & Bonacini crown and a North Toronto icon, Auberge du Pommier has been serving guests since 1987. Constructed around the rustic vestiges of two 1860’s woodcutters’ cottages, Auberge du Pommier combines country charm with contemporary sophistication and style. Featuring wood burning fireplaces in winter and lush, floral terraces in summer, it is a welcoming, refined retreat from the city.

    It’s supposed reputation proceeds proceeds the reality. The food is simply underwhelming. Not sure if it’s because it’s French twist cuisine or because of the chef. In either case I am not impressed. There is no amazing spice combination in any of the dishes planned bland planned. The crab and shrimp dish was fishy smelling and tasting. The salmon was quite ordinary. Even the desserts or nothing spectacular. I do not know why it is raining so highly when Toronto has so many other amazing choices and cuisines and I’ve lived in Toronto my entire life and I have experienced the best and this restaurant Is Quite a disappointment. Shame on you.

    Atmosphere, service, environment are excellent! Foods are delicious, delicate, and presented nicely. We ordered tasting menu when doing the reservation. With 2 requests in the message. We request the main course (duck) substituted with fish and chicken because our friends’ preference. The restaurant well managed this. 👍🏻👍🏻

    You have a lovely restaurant but I wish you would serve your dishes with more vegetables and possibly a small amount of carbs. I had the salmon today. Delicious, but too large a piece and nothing else on the plate except something small and circular. Don’t even know what it was. I know this is “ Haute Cuisine but I always feel unsatisfied after eating at your restaurant. Just a bit too “foo-foo” for me ( and I eat at a lot of high end restaurants). Service as always was exceptional and we loved the log fire. Just my two cents.

    The food was fantastic! The service was impeccable. They really went above and beyond and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable about the dishes and wines. They had Sauternes on their wine list! It was the perfect dinner for our group!

    Amazing service and very accommodating. We were there for high tea. One individual in our party has a gluten sensitivity. Staff went out of their way to ensure she was able to enjoy her day. They provided a modified menu that met her needs at no extra cost. Truly amazing. Thank you!
