Wanted to visit again since we enjoyed the food last time, this time around with the Fall menu food was good but some dishes were heavy handed on the salt. Their take on the French Cesar salad was good but I thought was lacking crunch texture because the classic usually has croutons but was nice with the citrus to cut through the anchovies. The beef Wellington is a good size for 2, our waiter told us it was 20oz so we thought it was going to be huge, it was more 12oz, the swiss chards sauce that came with it was way salty and was hard to eat. king Salmon belly sashimi appetizer was good as always. Would still come back to try other dishes, service was good.

We were sadly disappointed in the thanksgiving meal served at Avant. The staff was delightful but the meal itself was disappointing and to walk out with a bill of $400 (2 cocktails) for two.

The evening was perfect! Seated right away, a nice table, service was excellent! It was our anniversary and we were treated royally! Everything was delicious from the Parker house rolls, salads and the Beef Wellington is to die for! It is a very large serving so we split it and we were both stuffed! We were also treated to a delicious chocolate cake for our Anniversary! It is very expensive but for a once-in-awhile splurge or a special occasion it is worth it!!

Food is decent and service is good. I am a little disappointed on the quality of the fish, it wasn’t fresh which is a must for San Diego. I must say the quality of the vegetables were amazing since they are from their own garden and we also had the beef Wellington which was good. Overall the restaurant is a nice option if you’re close by.

Everything was wonderful except the room temperature was pretty cool. Also, the manager was very rude. The rest of the staff was wonderful!

This is an excellent restaurant. Wonderful atmosphere, great service and the food was over the top. It was out first visit and we are so glad to know it’s close by. Will definitely go back.
