   Booked via OpenTable. Left deposit as requested. Wasn’t open when we arrived. Shame so can’t really review. Ended up further along the Quayside. May try another time

   Foods are so satisfying and service was great, ambience is really amusing, but drinks needs more improvement. We ordered a jug of margarita and it's so sour, we tried to ask for sugar syrup which they provided but still the sourness of the drink still terrible. We taken out the loads amount of slice lime but it didn't help. Your bar tender should taste first the drinks he's serving before it will be served pls.

   If it were possible to rated zero stars I would!! We did not get to dine here even though our booking for 3pm was accepted and a credit card security was held. On turning up in the freezing cold, after walking quite a distance from where we had to park our car we found the doors to Aveika to be closed and there was no sign of life in the restaurant. There were no opening/closing signs on display! Disappointingly it was necessary for us to return to our car feeling hungry and it had been a waste of precious time. We then tried to book a table in a different restaurant but were unable to do so on the Opentable site as we were classed as already dining elsewhere. I called Aveika and told them about our ordeal and asked if they would cancel our booking with them as to allow me to book somewhere else but was told they had no record of our reservation and couldn’t do anything about it, this caused us cause for concern about our credit card deposit security. We missed out on our meal, the Opentable points we were entitled to and an hour of our lives had been wasted. Please get this sorted so other diners don’t have this terrible experience. Very disappointing!

   I love Aveika and the food however the lighting in the restaurant is shocking. It's so dark you need to put the torch on your phone on to see the menu and see what you're actually eating. A, but extra, lighting isn't going to affect the ambience. The only thing that does affect that is the noise from the bar. Jeeze it is so loud. Perhaps creating a separate area for the restaurant to cut out the extremely loud chatter from the bar downstairs would be ideal.

   Can’t beat the food, can’t say the same about the service. we were a group of 6 girls and had a large group of young men doing a bottomless bunch behind us, we couldn’t hear each other and the staff seemed to be fine with them.
