   料理は、最悪です！シェフの自己満足かと？ 美味しくないのです。 場所代に、4人で$1,000払ったのだと、自分に 言い聞かせました。 日本人の方なら、やめた方が良いです。 昔は、もっと、もっと、美味しい料理を色々と 食べれたのですが、残念。

   We have the good fortune of eating at many excellent restaurants in our travels and we were looking forward to a five course meal with wine pairings at Azure. Unfortunately this is not and never should be considered fine dining. The five courses were medicore at best, with zero explanation of what was being served. Nothing was unique or exceptional and frankly looked like it had come off a buffet line. The wine pairing had no explanation of how they related to each dish and the waiter was running to many tables to do anything other than serve the food as quickly as possible. The only reason to go this resturant is the ocean view but here is a tip save yourself $500 (for two) and eat at Mai Tai next door - same hotel, same view and my guess would be same kitchen at a fraction of the ridiculous cost of this meal.

   We went to dinner here for Valentine’s Day. We got there prior to 630pm and didn’t leave until after 9:30pm because the kitchen was extremely overwhelmed and we waited almost an hour between the tiny weird courses. The caviar was good but the rest of the teeny odd dishes were sad. We felt like we were imprisoned at this place waiting for the the main course, the surf and turf. The piece of meat that came out on that plate was the size of a coin!!! I burst into laughter when I saw the oddly cut triangular “steak” on that plate that finally came out. It was also pitch black out there by 830pm so it was annoying to have just a small light on the table. Dark. Hungry. Odd. Trapped. The staff were very nice and apologized. The manager did apologize for the wait and took a quarter off the bill. What a s-show!

   Excellent service and delicious food. Kitchen was running slow, but our server and the manager kept us informed on progress and insured we were happy. Definitely recommend.

   I only gave 3 stars on the ambiance... we were seated right on the beach side. It's nice that we were next to the water, but the beach was crowded, as always, so we literally watch all the beach goers lying/ playing on the sand and we were seen by everyone walking by which kind of took away the romantic/ quiet/ peaceful ambiance that we thought we'd experience. Food and overall service were great though.

   Azure is located in the historic Royal Hawaiian Hotel in downtown Honolulu on Waikiki Beach. The ambience and grandeur of the hotel put us in the right frame of mind for this five-course dining experience. With the sun setting behind us, we were patiently and thoughtfully led through our courses by a lovely food server, who always checked in on us at the appropriate time. Pairing the meal with wines selected by their sommelier, made all the difference. The presentation and food quality lived up to the billing. We highly recommend Azure for an evening of fine dining.

    The only positive thing I can say about this restaurant was we had a very nice waiter! I was willing to pay  the $145 per person because I was excited to have an amazing meal! You definitely did not get what you paid for here! Out of the five courses there is not one that I could say had anything special to it and and at most it was fair to poor! My husband and I are foodies and love to have delicious food that tantalizes the taste Buds. There was none of this here… I would save your money and go somewhere else . Very disappointed !!!
