What started out as a casual deli and bakery has evolved into a full-service eatery with menus that feature a variety of traditional and southern-style dishes.     Hostesses had such a bad attitude but it did not transfer to the food or service which were both excellent. Please consider replacing your hostesses who were both unprofessional and cold.

    This restaurant must’ve changed owners from 2 years ago or they’ve just really went downhill. It was super cold in the restaurant and they didn’t seem to enthusiastic to seat us after we waited patiently outside for and hour and 20 minutes for them to open up at 5:00. All of us ordered the shrimp and grits and didn’t realize they were going to be topped with collard greens.. the last time they were on the side. Never in my life have I had collards and shrimp & grits. Fried green tomatoes were too thick but tasted okay. The biscuits were the only good thing.

    Had high expectations based on other reviews but food and service was lacking. They were out of a few of their signature dishes but we tried three others that just lacked flavor. It was all very bland. Small portions. Whoever we spoke to on the phone about requiring a few additional minutes was very rude and unnecessarily strict, especially considering early Monday morning there weren’t many people dining anyway.

    We had a wonderful dining experience. THe food and cocktails were excellent. THe only thing better was the service. Out server could not have been any better. Attentive but not intrusive. Delightful and professional.

    Food was okay but not great. The server seemed frazzled even though it was early in the evening. Took a while for us to be acknowledged. The server took the drink and salad order first. The salads came out and we were finished with them before I ever got my glass of wine. It took 20 - 30 minutes to get and the bar was not that busy. The server checked several times for it and we could see the bar area. Have no idea why it was so difficult to pour one glass. The staff overall weren’t particularly friendly…odd vibe at this place.

    The food was outstanding. The shrimp and grits were so delicious. The Bloody Mary was the best I ever had. The waitress was really busy, but took great care of us. My only complaint was that it was crazy loud.
