   Always a good choice to hit Banbu with my wife and daughter. Good food, friendly service and very knowledgeable wait staff. It’s also always clean and warm on the patio, really a little oasis.

   It’s our first time eating on this place and it was worth it. The food, the servers and the place will make this one of my go-to restaurants. Unfortunately, as we celebrate our mom’s birthday here, someone took the cake we brought. I didn’t think that people had the audacity to lie that they brought the cake and thank the server for keeping it. What a piece of crap! But thanks to that, the manager and our server offered us free desserts for everyone and a huge discount to compensate for the lost cake.

   We got here quite often and it's always good. Cocktails are great and the food is good. The service this last week was especially good. Highly recommend.

   The food was amazing. They initially sat us in the back room which is bright with white walls. They had to move us from a booth to a table in that room and the table is by door and staff room(s). It was uncomfortable. I asked the hostess to move us as we had a reservation and were celebrating a birthday. She refused. So I got up and asked the person at the hostess stand to move us and she said “absolutely, I understand” and had a new table (in main area) for us within minutes. The service was slow. The waitress only checked on us 1 time during the 45 minute wait for our sushi. We would have drank more but they were busy. The espresso martinis are good! Food was great! Once we got a table in the main room, the vibe was much better. That being said, we had to move tables 3 times as they originally sat us somewhere but then wanted that table for a large party (and then moved us to worst seats in the house - cold/noisy, etc). I worked in restaurants for 20-plus years so the thing that was upsetting was the one hostess that refused us a better table without even checking availability. She went on to shoot us daggers every time she passed the rest of the evening but the other staff was friendly.

   Sushi was good - my jawed dropped when I saw the prices. $20 for Gyoza appetizer?! We eat out a lot but this was crazy. I won't be back.

   Good food but terrible service. We had 6 people. One person got tempura which came out 20 minutes after everyone’s sushi. Another got chicken fried rice which came out after everyone was done and we were ready to go despite asking our server for it 5 times! They gave it to us to go for free.

   The food, service, and ambiance are always great! However, my friends food took over 45 minutes to get delivered to our table and we had already finished our food before she got hers.

    We had a party of 10, and were pleasantly surprised when directed to a private room. The service was fabulous and the food did not disappoint. We had everything from teriyaki chicken to sashimi. This was our first time coming to this restaurant, and I look forward to revisiting many more times to come.
