Our full-service restaurant and bar features the freshest local ingredients we can find. From starters and salads to entrées and desserts, the expertly crafted menu has a seasonal focus. The full bar offers wine, specialty cocktails and beer, along with a selection of small plates.

Bar Verde is located on the 3rd floor overlooking the illustrious Americana in downtown city center of Glendale California.

I have been a loyal Bar Verde customer for many years & typically have great experiences; however this recent visit left me very underwhelmed. My husband and I had decided to take family holiday pictures and invited my parents to join us. They had never been to Bar Verde, and as my mother is also a loyal Nordy customer, we were excited to take them. When we arrived for our reservation, we were greeted bythe hostess, and thought the table would have already ready, but they walked us over to the area, and she put together the table themselves, and we ended up helping. I would have hoped that they would have asked us to wait for our table to be ready, then seat us. Regardless, we sat down and ordered fairly quickly after getting our drink order. Oscar was our server and was pleasant; however, the food took a solid 45 minutes to an hour to get to us! We were there with two senior citizens and two children under 7 years old. The restaurant was not extremely busy so we were so surprised why it was taking so long. Oscar was apologetic, and we could even see him struggling with the kitchen staff to get our food. I don't know if there were other issues happening in the kitchen, but it clearly affected our service. Other parties that were getting their food before us, which I had to get up and talk directly to both Oscar and the other staff. They were apologetic and removed one of my son's meals ($12) since his was the last to come out even though it was technically the easiest one to make. They did also offer one free dessert, which we accepted; however, getting the dessert seriously took another 20 minutes. I am unclear why they even offered something that they couldn't deliver on time after timing being an issue. We will say the food was delicious and my parents loved their filer mignon, but there was clearly a back of the house kitchen staffing issue. This was the Thanksgiving weekend, so they should have had better planinng.

The restaurant and Nordstroms was closed for Easter. This should have have even been allowed to be booked. My elderly parents showed up 10 minutes before I did waiting outside of a closed Nordstroms standing around with no place to sit to wait. When I showed up I was luckily able to get a table at Amici which is across from Nordstroms. The meal was not what we wanted to eat but it was good none the less. This was a very upsetting experience for an Easter Brunch.
