Really lovely in a neighborhoody way. Hard to decipher the specials through the charmingly authentic Italian accent of our waiter, but great choices to be found on the menu.

Even on an extremely busy Friday night, Barbaresco delivered!! A warm welcome (we are regulars when in town) and friendly service. Their Caesar salad is always excellent and the veal piccata a longtime favorite. And my spouse is a fan of their saltimbocca and the chicken with mushrooms in a Gorgonzola cream sauce.

Barbaresco never fails to deliver a delicious meal and gracious service. One of the few places left in Manhattan where you can reliably get a delicious meal at a reasonable price. My dining companions who had not eaten there before were equally impressed and happy to have a new place to go to for delicious Italian cuisine in a comfortable, relaxed setting.

Solid Italian fare in East 60s. First courses were better than mains and noise level high in small dining room.

Great neighborhood spot for casual Italian. Gets very loud when full. Service is frequently rushed but the food always delivers.

Is Italian neighborhood gem, service is incredible, food ir really good, has a little bar at the entrance. Ambiance is charming, romantic. We were with some friends and we had fegato a la veneciana, swordfish, orata, branzino, tomato and onion salad, some vegetables, all were really good. Good wine list. Love it.

Great restaurant. $200 for 4 of us. The tomato spread they serve with the bread is divine.

This is a good local restaurant. We shared the Cesar salad and it was skimpy. Each ordered the chicken livers which were very good and not often seen on menus elsewhere. Cant understand a word the waiter says when telling the specials.

We've always had good meals at Barbaresco. Last night 3 out of the 4 of us enjoyed their dinners. I ordered the chicken with sausage and mushrooms, which I've had before, but this time the chicken tasted "pre-cooked" and was dried out -- it was nothing like the last time I ordered it. We sat towards the back of the restaurant and it was very noisy so we could barely hear each other (OpenTable calls it "lively"). We also had trouble hearing the head waiter recite the specials. The front of the restaurant tends to be quieter.
