Beatrix is a neighborhood coffeehouse, restaurant and meeting place in Chicago’s River North, Streeterville, Fulton Market and Oak Brook neighborhoods. The restaurant is the brainchild of Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises’ Founder Rich Melman, Executive Partner and Divisional President Marc Jacobs and Chef Partners John Chiakulas, Rita Dever and Susan Weaver. The menu features healthy meets delicious options, and is known for its iconic coffee and bakery counter, including signature cookies, in-house pastry favorites and our house blends from Beatrix Coffee Roasters, featuring Light, Dark, Espresso and Decaf roasts.

We used this space for a business meeting and they were able to accommodate our request to sit near an outlet. The food was excellent, fresh, and served with great presentation. The open kitchen really adds to the experience.

                                                                The chicken enchiladas were incredible. Lots of flavor in the salsas and the chicken was not dry. The baked oatmeal was second bc I needed something sweet as well. I love the addition of mint on the top, added a nice touch with the taste of the fruit. My husband had the shoshuka, same thing, they're on it with the sauces and the flavors. Hands down one of my favorite brunches I've had the pleasure to enjoy.

                                                                While the food and the service was great, the hospitality when we walked in was lacking. 3 servers walked by without saying anything while we waited for the hostess. When she did get to us, she literally didn’t say anything. Not a hi. Not a how you’re doing. Not even how many are in your party. Rubbed me the wrong way.
