   Our chef was KP he did an excellent job and made the visit worth while. Benihana is always good but the experience with the chef is what makes it our breaks it. Chef KP definitely made it an unforgettable experience for us. Will ask for his grill the next time we go.

   I was honestly disappointed in yesterday’s service. I spent my birthday dinner here with my family, and I was excited to have my 2 year old daughter experience this for the first time. I’ve been here plenty of times so I know what to expect, and yesterday’s show was not it. Our chef barely said a few words to us, there was no sort of engagement whatsoever. It seemed like he didn’t wanna be there with us, and it felt very quiet and awkward. Nobody was saying a word for 95% of the dinner show. It felt like a huge let down because it was my mom’s first time back in a few years so she was also excited. We sat behind a different table whose chef arrived about 10 minutes before ours did, and we were sooooo impressed with him even though we were watching from behind. My daughter was super excited watching too, and our whole table was pumped up for when our chef arrives. Then comes our chef, and it was as quiet as can be. The complete polar opposite from the table next to ours. For the amount of money I spent on my birthday on last night’s dinner, I would have rather spent that on takeout and a nice gift for myself. I would have saved so much money. I don’t think I’ll be coming back here anymore, it hasn’t been the same the last couple of times that I’ve been here.

   Meal was rushed. And near the midpoint of the meal, ice cream arrived while main course was still in progress. Had to eat ice cream because it was melting. Tables on either side of us apparently didn't experience this as they were casually enjoying their meals. Big disappointment as our visits are usually so wonderful. If this had been my first visit, I wouldn't be going back.

   The food is okay. I think the name brings people in. We sat for an hour before they even started to cook.

   We were set at a over crowded table with a breeze blowing through the doorway, food was rushed, felt like cattle being rushed

   We went to Benihana’s in Anaheim to celebrate our son’s 14th birthday. We have dined at Benihana’s at numerous locations many times and have always been pleased with the service. For this particular visit, it was extremely unpleasant. We arrived at 8:30 for an 845 reservation. We were told that the reservations were 30 minutes behind schedule and that we would not be seated till 915. We were finally seated shortly before 9:30. Our host walked us to our table and we had specifically chosen Benihana‘s because we had seven people in our party and we know that their tables seat 8 so chances are there would not be a single diner there so we would get the table to ourselves. When we walked to the table, we realized that, the restaurant had added an extra chair to table a table for nine. Anybody that has eaten at Benihana’s before knows that if you had an extra chair, it will be extremely tight for all the diners. It was definitely tight for us and unfortunately, we had a very hard time the food in front of us our beverages on the table as well. We ordered drinks which took 15 minutes to arrive. We also ordered two orders of Gyoza that did not arrive until the chef was actually cooking the food. Our soup and salad bowls were left on the table until we summoned the waiter to come get them. Unfortunately, he did not come by until we were halfway through with our meal and because the bowls were on the table, we were unable to comfortably eat our food. Our 14-year-old rarely complains about anything, but in this particular case, he looked at my wife and said how come my soda refill is taking 15 minutes? When the chef arrived at our table, he greeted us as most of the chefs do, but he was in a very big rush to get all the food out onto the plates. The grill was on extremely high heat, and the food was being cooked very quickly. The smoke from the grill was unbearable and was burning the eyes of the people at the table people.

    was a bit of inconvenience that we had reservations at 7pm and didn’t get seated till 7:45pm other than that food was great and drinks were great!
