   The food was dry and overcooked, and the vegetables were burnt. Including the tip, we spent over $500 for a party of 5 on food that was not good. My family and I have been dining at Benihana for over 25 years, proving that we are loyal customers; however, the food was unacceptable during this visit.

   Benihana Bethesda is a joke. Staff standing around bored. The walls and ceiling is greasy and need a fresh coat of paint. The chef did one trick and burned some onions. I could have went to any hibachi but chose to celebrate here and Benihana just not the same. I was seated next to a family that was rude and loud. However staff did sing happy birthday and gave ice cream. The price for an outdated decor must only pay the rent here. Nothing is authentic not even the chefs. You are only paying rent

   Even though we had a reservation, we had to wait 20 minutes for our table. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was well prepared.

   We had a 630 reservation. We weren’t set until 655. We came in for the taste of Benihana to be towed that was only available at the bar or the sushi bar, which was not posted on their website. It would’ve been extremely helpful to know nonetheless we ordered the food, the service wasn’t all that great we had to keep waving our waiter down . Probably wouldn’t come back to this location.

   We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Benihana in Bethesda! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a lively energy that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our meal. The highlight, of course, was the hibachi experience. Our chef was not only highly skilled but also engaging and entertaining, turning the cooking process into a true performance. From the iconic onion volcano to the expert knife skills, every moment was captivating. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked to my preferred temp the shrimp and chicken were equally delightful, with just the right amount of seasoning. The fried rice prepared fresh on the grill was also great. The portions were generous, ensuring no one left hungry. Overall, Benihana Bethesda delivered an unforgettable dining experience. From the exceptional service to delicious food, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be returning soon.

   First time visit in at least 10 years. The occasion to get us back was was a birthday (for grandpa) and first ever visit for 6 year-old grandson. Food and service was excellent, a HUGE hit for the six-year old who absolutely loved all of the food and the chef's "show." He surprised us by eating all of the soup, asking for more of the fried rice, eating all of his shrimp (and stealing a few from his grandma and grandpa), eating much of his chicken and corn, and of course, the ice cream and happy birthday song and embarrassment for his grandpa. He wanted to save the leftovers for tomorrow's breakfast. A couple of miscue's for the table on getting the order to the right customer, which required some additional cooking for the chef, but did not detract from the experience. We will be back at some point in the near future, not waiting to return as long as we did last time - either with or without the grandkids, because the food and experience was so wonderful.
