   The wait was too long. 7:30 reservation, seated at 8:45. Was going to leave but GF made me stay. Must be rectified by Benihana

   Overbooking or understaffing problem. Arrived at 7:25 for a 7:30 Reservation for 6. Birthday Celebration. Didn't get seated until 8:50 or so, almost 1.5 hours after our Reservation. Manager didn't tell us they were that far behind until waiting about 45 mins when I overheard another person complaining they've waited over an hour for a 2 person reservation. It was disappointing to say the least. They knew they were running 1.5 hours behind when we checked in, they should have told us so we could decide to stay or not. Once seated it still took longer than normal for a cook to come to the table. He forgot the mushroom portion of the 6 course meal which most people ordered. Salad had too much dressing on it. Lobster was overcook & seasoned. Overall the food was good. Steak was best part. But we didn't get out of there until almost 11pm.

   The food and service was good, but we made a reservation at 7:30 only to be told we would have to wait almost 2 hours to be seated. It was around 9 when we got seated then it took another hour and a half to actually start eating. We didn’t leave until 12. With how pricey everything is, we will never be coming here again.

   We had a 6:15 reservation didn’t get seated till 7pm then the cook didn’t come for what felt like an other hr will not be back to this location we figured we try this location but we are regulars at the Mission Valley location by the time we got home back in National City we had to cancel our other plans Very poor service

   We made a reservation for a party of 8 at 5:30 for my daughter’s birthday. We arrived at 5:20 to check in. By 6:20 we still hadn’t been seated and we were told there were 3 parties ahead of us. We left to eat at another restaurant. Very poor service!!! Don’t take reservations if you can’t keep them.

   We had a birthday reservation at 1:30pm for 7 through Open Table at Benihana Carlsbad. We were on time and were not seated for an hour. We ordered the moment a waiter asked us for drinks because we looked at the menu for an hour. The waiter said it would be about 30-45 to have a chef because there were two tables ahead of us. We received water, tea, and soup by 2:45pm. My three sons had a golfing tee time if 3:30pm assuming we’d be finished within two hours. We had to leave frustrated. What’s the point of a reservation system that doesn’t give you a table for an hour.

   We had a reservation for 7:30 pm that we scheduled a week in advance. Upon arrival, they were a hour behind reservations and informed us that our wait time would be a hour. We didn’t get a table until approximately 9:50 pm.

   We had to wait 1 1/2 ours for our reservation. It was overcrowded and a completed crap show. What a mess. So disappointed

   Horrible! Don’t go. Food is overpriced and not great. The management is the worst!!!! Waited over 2 hours for a reservation. Will NEVER go back!
