   We had a reservation for 7:15 and we got there early about 7:00 and the host informed us they were running behind about 30 mins or so. Once we got seated (yes about 30mins wait from our reservation time) the server was really nice and made sure all our needs were met. The cook was great really nice sense of humor he made sure our food was cooked the way we wanted it. Food was great full of flavor and very delicious!

   We waited 50 minutes for our reservation. They said they were running 30 minutes late. At 30 minutes I asked the desk how much longer? They said we were the next open table. After seeing other groups being called, I asked the desk again. They asked if our entire party was there. We had been since the beginning. They said we were marked not all present. Why didn't they say that before? Finally we were the next table! This is the third time we have had a reservation and waited almost an hour for a table. Dinner was rushed, the chef was clearly under stress to get the dinner done quickly. The staff is doing their best but something is very wrong. The last two times we just left. I don't know who is running the place, but they are doing a horrible job. When there are no parking spaces in their lot, they have too many people trying to eat at the same time.

   We expect a show when you dine at Benihana. However, our chef Bibi was terrible. He must have been new. He did not seem to know that he had to cut the shrimp so he served them whole. He was supposed to put the lobster in the tail, but slopped it on the plate. He was sloppy and not entertaining. The beef was cut into large and small pieces so that it was cooked unevenly. Not properly trained and not ready for prime time.

   I had another incredible meal at Benihana's in Newport Beach. Our server Ariana was awesome, and so was our chef, Juan. Benihana's NB never disappoints, so it continues to be my favorite restaurant. I look forward to enjoying my leftovers tonight.

   We opted to dine in the bar area to avoid the long wait but it seems like the food came from the left overs of those diners in the restaurant. It came cold tasteless or extremely salty with burnt shrimps. It too way too long and some others waiting in the bar decided theirs to take to go. Not impressed and won’t go back.

   Had our best meal ever at Benihana. Our chef, Isaiah, was excellent! He was very entertaining and did some unique things and a little magic making it very fun!!

   Really bad service they don’t have enough cooks and we have to wait close 2 hour to have some Buddy to cook the food in the tabke

    The server only came once after all the appetizers were served. The chef was not too entertaining and he kept it so short. He also undercooked medium to be like almost rare so 2 people requested the meat to be cooked longer. Also he forgot one of the meat so he had to step out and get the meat...it was shortest teppan experience ever.
