   Our chef was amazing 10/10. Very attentive and amazing. Food was 9/10. Tasteful and well prepared by our Chef Gabriel. Service 4/10: our server didn’t come as often as I wanted to. Went a long period requiring service.

   This is one of the best Beni restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley in my book. The service here was over the top excellent! From the second an employee opened the front door and checked our reservation immediately, they offered immediate seating! That’s rare but very welcomed! From the waitstaff to helpers to the chef, everything was first rate and fast! Food was super good. We had the nicest most energetic waiter. He was charming and never left us waiting for a thing. This Ontario location was pleasant, clean, & felt roomy. We will go here from now on! Great job!

   We had a 2pm reservation and were not seated until 30 minutes later when the had enough walk ins to fill a teppan grill After a long time we were asked for a beverage order Waters and sake were ordered For birthdays at the table We didn’t get waters or sake for over 20 minutes and had to ask for them We waited until 3:05pm and our chef never showed to cook our meal orders. Finally got soup , but we left due to the worst service I have ever experienced Even after asking many times. No one came by to explain or apologize for the extremely long wait. We will never return

   We had a reservation at 5pm, did not get seated until 5:45pm. This was for a birthday celebration so we did not leave. I made my reservation online in the morning. Plenty of times available. Then we arrived any one with a reservation was still waiting. Not sure if they over booked but there was a party of 45 that got seated before little parties. Was not well executed by the staff.

   We reserved on a busy day at a busy time and they apologized for the wait and accommodated us for the wait. Truly amazing service. Mind you, it was our first time there! Our chef Juan was awesome super nice and very fun! Definitely would recommend anyone to go there! Thank you Juan!

   We had reservations at 5:00 PM we were not seated until 6:30. At which time our party was told we could not be seated together unless we wanted to wait approximately another 90 mins. There was an open table that could accommodate our guests but we were told there wasn’t a server in that section. So we waited for a different table to become available and within a few minutes of being seated they sat another group and the table we had just be told wasn’t available. Overall 1 star

    The chef was new and way too inexperienced to be on his own at a Benihana grill although a very nice man that was trying. Server disappeared for very long periods of time and did not take care of us well at all. It was my daughter’s birthday and the hostess, server and chef were all told and all acknowledged it and nothing was done or even a song got her while tables all around us were being given the total treatment. Then when I mentioned that we have been coming to Benihana for over 30 years and this was by far our worst experience, the manager, Megan, was very disinterested and said she would check on what was going on and never returned or even gave so much as an apology for our experience.
