   This was our first time dining at a Black Angus Steakhouse and we will never be back. The restaurant was practically empty, so I was surprised to receive ‘Applebees service’ from a steakhouse. When we arrived, we walked up to the host stand and stood for several minutes while the bartender and server chatted in the service well, completely ignoring us. Not even a simple acknowledgment to let us know the host will be right with us. When the host finally arrived she sat us at an oversized booth that directly faced one of the only other tables that was seated, so we moved to be next to them instead of staring across at them. My husband went to let her know, so she could update Open Table. She walked over to our new table, snatched up the two extra place settings and THREW a paper (for the server) on our table and turned to stomp away. Her attitude was insanely rude and inappropriate. I was absolutely floored. Our server was kind and knowledgeable of the menu, but her overall service was as sub par. She never once refilled our waters. By the end of service they were both completely empty. I ordered a blackberry mocktail of sorts and it was incredibly sweet so I didn’t take more than a small sip from it. I had it at the edge of the table for her to take, but she never once acknowledged it or asked if I would like something different. My husband finished his glass of wine and she never asked if he’d like another. Her attention to detail was incredibly poor. The food was decent. Not steakhouse quality. This isn’t the type of establishment to order a Med Rare Ribeye. Expect the temp to come out closer to a Med Well. As an AGM of a well established restaurant in Old Town, I was shocked to see how little these employees took pride in the work. It made me grateful for my team and how attentive they are from the front of the house to the back. I can’t imagine if we had come at a busy time.

   The restaurant was nice, but a little noisy. Our table of five ordered rib-eye steaks and Filet Mignon. All of the steaks were thin, and appeared to be less than the sizes we ordered. The steaks were more done than we would have liked, and therefore a little chewy, but the flavor was good. Two guests also ordered lobster tails, which they said were very good. Four out of five guests ordered the Wedge Salad. Everyone received a hard center of the lettuce which was inedible. However, the rest of the salad was good. The person that ordered a Caesar Salad was happy with their salad. Everyone ordered loaded baked potatoes which were good, and one ordered roasted brussel sprouts, which they enjoyed. 3 glasses of wine and 1 beer were also ordered. The cost for five was a bit expensive considering the steak issues. The service was very good, but overall, I would only give it a 3 star rating, which may have been a little bit generous.

   Excellent food and service. We have been eating here for years and have always had excellent food and service.

   My filet wasn’t cooked the way I had asked BUT our wonderful waitress had the kitchen remake my steak (and sides)! I love that they quickly brought me a new one and it was perfect. Great service overall and solid food!

   Started with them, sweeping next to us as we’re eating, followed up by vacuuming in the waitress backside being in our face. Then had to ask for silverware and napkins. They brought us a brown paper towels when everyone else had cloth napkins. First and only time ever coming to this establishment.

   They were busy, and we like that because it says they will be around. The service was excellent, the food good - but one minor issue; we ordered the Feast, and we both ordered filets at the additional expense. My wife's was ordered "well" and it came out perfect. Mine was ordered medium rare, and while cooked to the right temperature, the mast was stringy and fatty, unusual for a filet.

   Our host Patricia made our grandfather 81st birthday memorable. Patricia made our day, her attentiveness, knowledge of the menu, friendly demeanor, or any extra effort they made to ensure a great dining experience.

    We ordered the steak with lobster and they were out of lobster but didn’t tell us until 25 min later my wife didn’t like her food we give it back the food wasn’t good don’t recommend this spot 👎
