   Service from entering the establishment, was very courteous and expedient. Our server for the night was also very welcoming and accommodated our every need. The ribeye was cooked to my preference (medium-rare) and the salmon was prepared delectably. Both very dishes were delicious and would not cause any hesitation to be ordered again.    Never again will we go back after 23 years of patronage. The back room has zero ambience and is way too loud. We arrive and there are empty tables for four in the main dining room and we get a bunch of BS about how they are not available due to timing etc. Those tables are open, table they stick us at in the back is open so ?? Apparently the speak with the GM who never shows their face and we are stuck in the back. Never again. You make a reservation and take a chance of a good table or or bad table. Zero effort to resolve so what ? There are valued customers and not valued customers ? Done….. Food service was SLOW and people that arrived after us got served before us. You have lost the touch. Cambridge Mill leads the way once again.

   Unfortunately food took an exceptionally long time to come, around a hour after ordering , one of the steaks came under cooked . Seeing it took so long to come and it was getting late already we did not send it back but only managed to eat a portion of it . Noise level was also very load hard to each other speak at some points . Not my best experience at the Blackshop after spending $300 on dinner .

   Blackshop just does it right! From the initial greeting at the door, to the final good bye and come back soon, everything just seems to work. We truly enjoyed the evening. The beverages were tasty and the food was outstanding!! Our serving team did not miss a beat and everything we wanted was provided with a smile! A fine dining establishment that cannot be missed.

   Blackshop has amazing food, service and ambiance. This is the second time we've enjoyed a meal at this restaurant and will continue to visit.

    Dec 31st preset menu was not edible. Couldn't cut the steak with restaurant steak knife. Food was barely warm. The amuse bouche spoon placed on the bare table top I guess you supposed to use it as a spoon and put it in your mouth? Hard no from the table top! The baked Alaska absolutely disgusting! Taste texture merengue was a sloppy liquid something. Didn't eat eat.Most of the steak also went back. Cocktail full of ice cubes. Very disappointed.
