Blu Kouzina is bringing its signature, wholesome Greek cooking to the Sunshine State after gracing for the past five years Singapore’s culinary scene. The acclaimed restaurant, born out of the founders’ passion for the food of their native Greece and their love of sharing a hearty, family meal with friends, has set up a second home in Sarasota.

Fresh and quality ingredients, mostly grown organically, and sourced from well established, local producers are used in dishes that are both traditional and creatively contemporary. What remains uniquely Greek and genuine are the flavors and the scents of extra virgin olive oil, fresh fish or succulent lamb that will take you on a journey from a beach-side taverna to a rural mezze shop.

For years, we would eat at one restaurant on St. Armands Circle. And we do enjoy it every time we go, but walking across the street to Blu Kouzina was always a place that we wanted to try. We loved it. It felt authentic as soon as you sat at our lovely table overlooking the street. We started with delicious fried artichokes and the Blu Salad. Both of these starters were amazing. With the help of Theo, a fantastic waiter, we ordered appropriately and enjoyed the Sardines, Gigantes (giant beans), and our Chicken Kalamaki which was moist and scrumptious. The service was extraordinary. They had four designated servers for our table and they all focused on us and the tables they served. When asking Theo for his recommendation for dessert, I enjoyed a cup of Greek Coffee and Orange Cake which we loved.

Lamb chops excellent as was the Greek salad and rice pudding. Pork chop was just ok. Rouly our waiter a keeper! Will return

Outrageously delicious. They have come back with a vengeance from 2 hurricane’s Somehow service has gone to a whole new level. Food is the most authentic Greek food we have tasted since we were in Greece. The service team is outstanding. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation and eat here even if you are in the area for only one night, this must be on your list.

Wonderful dining experience trying Greek foods for the first time. Our meals were flavorful and yummy. Service was fast and thoughtful, our waitress guided us on menu choices to get the best experience eating Greek Foods for the first time. Lovely location

I booked an outside table but when I checked in for my reservation I was told they could only seat us inside; we'd have to wait quite awhile for outdoor seating. Very frustrated by this as the noise level inside makes it difficult to talk without leaning in over the food. The food is excellent and the servers friendly but the hostess really screwed up. Never had this happen before.
