   First impression was bad already as soon as I walked in. Had to wait for at least 5mins to get greeted by the host. After seated, the server didn’t come to take our orders for a while. I understand everywhere is hard to hire people and also to maintain staff. It doesn’t mean that you ignore or don’t acknowledge your customers. After the orders were taken, the appetizer didn’t come for a while and of course our main course also took some time. Overall, it was bad and I won’t be coming back. This location is lucky to have the hotel guests to keep them afloat but good luck!!

   The restaurant was very busy, a little bit loud, so some people may find it hard to hear conversation at the table, but overall nice ambiance. We had nice table with a view of the river.

   There was a minor miscommunication with our table size, which the restaurant fixed pretty quickly. And then making further accommodations for our group to add 2 extra guests on a busy weekend (vday weekend). For that, we are extremely thankful! However, it took 2.5 hours for our food to arrive, and our friend who is gluten intolerant couldn’t eat anything else and had to solely wait for her dish. Also, when the food came, the steak was over done, and there was a mix up in the cod fish that was ordered. I appreciate the restaurant trying to make things right by apologizing and throwing in a discount at the end of the night, but unfortunately, the wait really put off all my guests. Guests had to pay for parking twice because their parking expired, and it was disheartening watching the entire restaurant get their food before our table. Hopefully boathouse is better prepared for busy nights such as last night.

   My wife's usual choice for celebrating her birthday dinner. Location at the New West Quayside is always a nice touch for fraser river scenery. The service was attentive and nicely paced and the food was well prepared and cooked to our desired likings. My New York steak was delicious and my wife's lobster with sirloin was exquisite as well. Always a pleasure to come eat and relax at the New Westminster boathouse!!!

   Menu was limited. Prices for the average food is far too steep. The server we had was great. Would not be in the top 10 of places to revisit.

   My girlfriend and I have been to all of the boathouse locations. This one was by far the most subprime. The service was not the best. Our waiter said he would bring us bread. This never came to the table. I ordered a coke and it came 10 minutes later we had to ask a second time. It was busy at the restaurant but having to wait over an hour for food was a huge inconvenience. We were seated at 8:15 ordered within ten minutes our entree's arrived around 9:30. We were hoping to leave around this time as we had activities planned that we had to postpone. During this whole waiting period our server never came to check on us. He didn't even deliver our food, only coming to ask how it was after I finished my plate. We had to ask for a steak knife after the food was delivered as we never got one. Regarding the quality of the food it tasted great, however portion size compared to the other Boat House Locations was lacking. Overall the experience was ok. I would highly recommend going to one of the Boat House's other locations.

   I’ve never seen a restaurant so disorganized for Valentine’s Day ever. We received our meals at 10:45pm for a 7:45 reservation. People who came in after and had a reservation for 8:45 were seated before us.

   Food took too long. It was cold. We didn’t enjoy at all. Too bad for a good location and potentially good restaurant.

    Not good today for lunch. First off menu online for location did not match actual on offer. 2nd our food took 45 minutes to arrive. We did not order appies or drinks—perhaps this threw off the kitchen’s timing 3rd fish-your specialty-is supposed to be tender and fresh. The fish in my companion’s fish tacos was spongy and chewy. She found them adequate. I ordered a crab cake sandwich with no bun. And the crab cake tasted so fishy—I’ve never had a crab cake that tasted like that. I used the word “gross” It was low quality for the price. Even on a bun it would have been icky. I sent it back. Seafood should be fresh and tender and bright. This was almost stodgy. Conversely we were in in New Years Eve and the food and service was too notch. I guess there are times and menu items we cannot trust. Bummer. A manager offered something else from the menu. I would assume it would have been comped, but given that we’d already waited 45 minutes AND there really weren’t any other lunch menu items I desired (would have loved that shrimp lobster roll), faith was lost and I sought sustenance elsewhere. Will not return for lunch.
