Bricks & Barrels is a steak and seafood experience voted three consecutive years as Charleston's Favorite Restaurant in the annual People's Choice Awards. Known for its unique ambience that relaxes the mind and rejuvenates the spirit, Bricks & Barrels features four semi-private dining areas that give the sensation of dining inside a whiskey barrel. The restaurant’s interior features wooden whiskey barrels used as dining tables contrasted against the rustic brick façade. But the food & drinks are the highlight, with the Green Tomato Napoleon being a favorite appetizer. The Mediterranean Chicken was nominated for Charleston's best dish by The Food Guy, a local food critic: bone-in chicken breast braised in capers, figs and olives created a beautiful symphony of flavors (sweet, tart, salty, earthy) on a colorful, gorgeously presented plate." The Bricks & Barrels Banquet Room is Charleston’s newest and hottest venue for private events. Our private dining room can accommodate up to 30 guests comfortably for business presentations and corporate dinners. We can accommodate up to 40 guests for appetizers and drinks for standing-room only functions. The room can be setup in various layouts to maximize guests interaction and/or focus on speakers and presentations. The room includes a large-screen TV with HDMI input for presentations. The private dining room's picturesque space is intimate and inviting, the perfect setting for wedding rehearsal dinners, more formal bachelorette parties, and intimate wedding receptions. The entire restaurant is also available for dedicated events such as business luncheons.

This was probably the worse experience I have ever had. I had made reservations two weeks prior and ended up being seated in a small room in a corner that had a big party in the same room. We felt like we were just slammed in this room to get us out of the way. This was supposed to be a nice valentine dinner but ended up to be a little awkward. Nothing toward the waitress but I think a place of this status could do much better.

We were there with another couple for Valentine’s Day. We all had the special dinner for the day. From the appetizer to dessert, everything was excellent. The filets were done perfectly, the jerk shrimp was tasty, and the chocolate cake and cheesecake were divine. Our waiter was attentive and conversation was easy as there was very little noise to contend with. We shall return😄.

Our meal tonight was fabulous. Clam chowder, prime filet with mashed potatoes and broccolini, followed by one of their great cheesecake options. Will definitely return.

Bricks and Barrels is always an outstanding experience. We always begin our meals with the Hummus Platter (the roasted pepper is our favorite). The Mediterranean chicken and Israeli couscous is my go-to meal. The Shrimp & Grits, Butter-Basted Salmon and Seafood Fettuccine were enjoyed by others in our party. Our waiter, Tom, was helpful and attentive. We will definitely be back.

Attended for restaurant week special. Arrived slightly early of reservation and was seated immediately. Server, Chelsea, was excellent. Atmosphere was excellent. Our meal was very good, we both had CAB prime steak (portion was a little small, IMO) but the steak was cooked to order perfectly (medium rare and rare). Would highly recommend and will be back.

We dined here for restaurant week- the food was amazing! Atmosphere was relaxing and quiet. The service was outstanding. Great place for dinner!
