Brown's used to be the go-to restaurant on the coast. The outdoor ambience and live music is outstanding. The food was mediocre at best - oiley, too much salt and sauce, nothing special, nor anything to go back for. The bread is great. The ahi poke was ok, (not sure why they do it tableside??), the scallop had no flavor other than oil, the watermelon poke had too much soy sauce (was drenched), the crusted Mahi was oiley with no flavor - like it was missing the mac nut crusted part, the Cioppino was the best entree we had, but still not spectacular. (And for $70+ is should be over the top). The cocktails were good, but at $25+ each they should be.

I’ve been to this location about dozen times and always enjoyed food and the service. Staff is professional, kind and always with a smile. Seating comes with a view and live music. Pricing is on higher end but given its location and clientele it’s justified. Overall it’s a great place and I recommend it.

Mostly terrible food. A fish entree was ice cold in the middle, like frozen, and had to be sent back. Pinot noir was served refrigerator cold, so cold that condensation formed on the glasses. No apologies made by staff. Just a weird experience for an upscale and expensive restaurant. We cancelled another reservation we had there later in the week.

As we where hotel guests for 10days we ate there a few times, the staff is very different and the teamwork didn’t seem to work, i would not recommend it to anyone how is not staying @the hotel
