Went to Bub City Rosemont for a family outing. The atmosphere was fun and the restaurant is pretty big. The prices were not too bad for the sandwiches. The fried pickles were the best I’ve had. The food over all was pretty good but definitely not the best bbq I’ve ever had. The brisket was a little too fatty for our liking even though I ordered mine lean. Sauce was good but we had to ask for extra - there was no bottle on the table. It can get a little expensive if you order any sides beside what comes with the meal. Getting into the complex on the weekend after Thanksgiving was a bit of a nightmare, so give yourself plenty of time depending on when you go. We had reservations but probably didn’t need them but were seated at a large booth that fit all 6 of us. While we generally enjoyed our meal, I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to go back since there are many good bbq places closer to my house without all the parking hassle. But, if you’re in the area, give it a try and enjoy the decorations and ice skating rink the complex has up during the Christmas season.

Bub City was a good place for family or friends looking for music and a comfortable setting. Service was excellent. Ribs and burnt tips were Nothing exceptional. We did not stay for live music and glad we didn’t as it would have been very loud but if you are into that I think it would be fun. 4 of us at $250 seemed a bit steep for a pulled pork sandwich, two half slabs and a burnt ends plate. No apps and 3 drinks.
