   Iconic Denver restaurant featuring animal mounts, old guns, and historic memorabilia. Come early and head upstairs - have drink at the bar, take an image with the bears, find the bullet holes! As for food, Rocky Mountain oysters, bison prime rib and bone-in rib eye all cooked to perfection.

   Service great . Wasn’t told the extra sides we got were more money than we expected. Should be told when offered.And We could have shared one instead of buying 2 of same. Who would have known if not told.A little expensive. Had to send steak back when got it back still not cooked right but was hungry and frustrated. Not sure how a steak house couldn’t cook center right. Bus girl was fantastic and so friendly and helpful. Waiter was nice . Employees all seem to be very friendly and welcoming. Ambience was real nice. Anniversary treat was greatly appreciated.

   This restaurant has a lot of history and the wait staff is happy and eager to tell you all about it! As far as service goes, this was sensational. Several of the staff work together to keep your drinks filled, your table cleared, and your needs met, even during full service. It's a wonderful establishment filled with amazing and exotic food. Of course, the world famous Rocky Mountain Oysters, but also elk, bison, quail, and Colorado lamb among others. Each dish was expertly crafted and full of rich natural flavor. Colorado lamb chops were very large and delicious. Drinks were amazing as was the history of the Buffalo Bill Cocktail! Desert is a must, Dutch Apple pie is as legendary in flavor as it is in story. Highly recommend this fun, unique, and exciting restaurant to anyone looking to try something historic, fun, and one-of-a-kind.

   Overall the food, service, and experience was a letdown compared to our visit several years ago. And it seems like they were out of a lot of things including rattlesnake which is one of the reasons we wanted to take our grand kids there.

Rattlesnake is one of our favorites too, but it is a seasonal item that we aren't able to get from suppliers year round.    This is a simultaneously a kitschy tourist destination AND a wonderful restaurant with fantastic food and high quality service. I would go again for sure. Rocky Mountain Oysters, duck breast appetizers were great. Our group all had great meats from the buffalo prime rib, to the lamb chops, T bone steak, salmon, and full slab of ribs. Huge portions. Fun place, very attentive and fast service.

   This place is reserved for special company, because it is just too expensive. Our server was excellent! Our food was great! We will come back in a couple of years when we can afford it again!

   I visited this restaurant about 30 years ago and I don’t remember. I took my kids there for supper, super super crazy loud -parents, letting their children run around like crazy wild animals, for paying such an expensive meal you would think you’ve had better behaved children. I guess you have to blame the parents on that one. When the food runner brought our food out, he had the plate against his belly.

    We celebrated a belated Valentine’s Day at Buckhorn Exchange and had an excellent experience! We started with a dirty martini and Buckhorn Old Fashioned to go with the sirloin game tips that came in a delicious mushroom gravy. We each ordered buffalo, a tenderloin steak and blackened prime rib which was the real star of the evening and maybe one of the best steaks we’ve had in recent memory! Prime rib is typically extra fatty, but bison meat is super lean so the prime rib was incredibly tender and cooked perfectly medium rare. We will absolutely be back for that menu item! Finished the meal with a slice of turtle cheesecake and a lap around the saloon to take in the incredible collection displayed on both floors.
