    Soon as you walk into this restaurant you feel the vibrant energy from all angles. Staff is extremely professional and ready to attend to you. Place is huge with a nice bar as you wait for your resy. Sat upstairs with a view overlooking down wow the food was world class. Tasted so fresh and so good. The drinks were on point and the overall experience with my date was five stars.

    Super leckeres Essen, welches für New Yorker Verhältnisse günstig und gesund ist. Es ist ein grosses Lokal, weshalb es (leider) doch sehr laut war.

    We’ve been to Buddakan twice now. It hasn’t disappointed yet. Food is 10/10

    Had a reservation. Came in 15 minutes early and still got sat after our reservation time. Overheard others talk about how they’ve been waiting 30+ minutes even though they have a reservation. Someone came to our table and offered us 3 types of water and did not introduce us who he was so did not know if he was going to be our server because we were ready to order as soon as we sat. Stopped at our table to ask how our food just once. Appetizers came in after 5 minutes of ordering but a 25-30 minute wait for our entree. General tso dumplings were good but was too sour because there was too much vinegar in them. Sichuan pork wontons was probably new to their menu according to no reviews but was the best dish we had here. Oxtail dumplings had a mushy inside and the oxtail meat was not tender so be ready to have a mushy and chewy experience. The chili rock shrimp was way too sour and the size of the shrimp is basically pebble size. Black pepper beef was also too sour but very tender. Jumbo shrimp was perfectly crispy and had a nice type of mayonnaise sauce on the outside; this dish is very common in Chinese cuisine. Crispy tofu was also fantastic. Wok fried cheung fun was very flavorful. Overall, food was good. I would not recommend anyone come here due to the pricing, experience, food, service and especially honoring reservation times. Do better Buddakan NY.

    Very disappointing evening. This is one of our favorite restaurants, and were there celebrating a birthday. The service was appalling (no one asking for drinks, water glasses were not refilled. But most of all, a few of guests had food allergies, which the waiter assured me they could make changes to the menu for. Of course they did not. Allergies need to be taken seriously and they clearly were not. It was a very chaotic dinner very embarrssing considering we had invited a party of 8 to join us. Will be returning any time soon.

    Prefix Menu options were good, provided a variety of food. Items arrived quickly and in batches to be able to enjoy it. Only complaint is that the lighting was too dim for pictures.

    We had high hopes as we were recommended by friends. Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite as we expected. Some of the food was missed off our order, resulting in the starters coming out with the main courses. The food we had was nice, although we were advised the rice dishes were for 1 person which wasn’t the case. What really let the night down was that because we wanted to pay by card the server had to take our cards to the kitchen to use the machine. Apparently they didn’t have a Bluetooth CC machine….really in this day and age??? Unfortunately it’s not somewhere I’d rush back to.
