   We had reservations at 7 pm Saturday and it was very packed in the lobby area. We waited 45 minutes to get our table. They shouldn’t take more reservations than necessary. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, but our entrees were overcooked and smaller than what we had in previous occasions. Our table was too close to other tables that you can hear their conversations. Women’s floors in stalls were wet and it wasn’t raining or snowing that day. Men’s paper towel dispenser was broken. I wouldn’t recommend coming here on Saturdays unless you’re not hungry.

   This was our first time to this restaurant. We decided to try it for restaurant week. It did not disappoint. We did have a 15min wait even though we made a reservation. The food was delicious. The portions were appropriate for a 4 course meal. There was not a dish we didn’t like. We would go here again.

   We always have a good experience at By the Docks. Last night was extremely busy, but the staff accommodated everyone with such ease.

   Everything was great! Kimberly our server was excellent! Food and drink was awesome! Baltimore County Restaurant Week…. 3 course lunch for $25! Lots of choices… 4 Appetizers, 5Entrees and 2 Desserts! I got the Crab Soup, 8 ounce Crab Cake Sandwich with Homemade Chips and Creme Brullee!

   Great wedge and chopped salads and crab cakes! Mike gave the right amount of and efficient attention . First time there and will return!

   Brooke greeted us upon arrival and was very welcoming. Brandon was a great server. He took care of us with our drinks and our food. He was very attentive the whole time making sure we were taken care of. Our food was delicious.

   By the Docks is one of our favorites, mainly because the food is always excellent. While it can be pricy, the quantity and quality of the food makes you want to return. However, service and ambiance are not the best sometimes, and we have had more than one , actually, more than 5 instances where we were seated next to a large party, or a party that was just out of control. When you have to yell at your dining partner to be heard, and when your server is so consumed by serving the large party, we wonder if coming here is worth the trouble. This was the case this past Friday night. Our server took our drink order, served our food and brought us the check. That's the only times we saw him, as he was continually tending to the large, loud party seated in what used to be the Red Room. Food was great, ambiance and service was not. It's not that he was a bad server, we just got forgotten.

    I like the restaurant. The food is always good. Several of the servers are great. Kim and Abner are particularly good. The only thing I don’t like is that you have to take the sides they choose whether you like them or not.
