   I’ve been to Cafe Lux countless times over the years and have always counted on the food being consistently good, with this visit being no different. I however was disappointed by little changes. Lux always had a beautiful floral arrangement but now has fake flowers. Upon receiving your check they included a piece of chocolate for each diner which is no longer offered, and where is the classic iconic card with the ladies at the bar? I hope that these little changes don’t lead to more changes at Lux.

   Great service and the food was good. A little noisy for my liking, but it’s a sign of how good it is, so this is not really a complaint.

   Always a nabe staple, Cafe Lux didn’t disappoint. They have it down to a science about rezzies; Ed co strive 10 min early and were seated 10 min later. My companion vegans with the special soup of the day- chicken noodle soup, which was a small cup that I found ridiculously expensive at $14. I had a Bibb and endive salad that was served with one of the most delicious salad dressings ever. We moved on to mains: his was quiche Lorraine, served with a small arugula salad. Mine was a special of the day: a lovely chewy and crunchy baguette brushed with balsamic vinegar reduction and piled with buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes, arugula, and a zippy dressing. It was absolutely sensational. We shared a lemon tart for dessert, which h consisted of a pâté sucreé base filled with a smoothly tart lemon curd, covered with Swiss meringue. Blueberry coulis served alongside. Quite wonderful. Noise level is high in the resto, but it’s filled with interesting New Yorkers so it’s fun to listen in. The staff understands the pacing in the place and they keep things moving along. Definitely an upper west side hangout to try if you’ve not been there yet.

   Reminscent of a true Parisian restaurant. Food and wine was outstanding! Tight space but didn't effect our meal at all.

   This long-standing neighborhood restaurant is a reliable choice for excellent, friendly, and non-pretentious service. You can't go wrong at Cafe Luxembourg.

   A longstanding UWS neighborhood gem, it's a wonderful spot for locals as well as people headed to Lincoln Center or after a performance. Great food, drinks and a reasonable wine list. Good people watching, too!

    It’s like dropping into your favorite Parisian bistro. The ambience is classic and the service is friendly and professional. If I lived in NYC, I would be a regular.
