   The food was average, at best. The Crispy Brussels sprouts were burned, smelled burned, and looked burned. Way overdone. The bread was just plain dull. Hard to believe restaurants can’t find a way to just deliver a nice loaf of soft, warm bread. The Caesar Salad was so utterly and completely uninspired. The lettuce most certainly felt like it was poured out of a bag. The dressing tasted like a mouthful of lemon with each bite. The Lasagna was dry. Overall, an expensive and disappointing first visit.

   Great staff and food; always a good experience there. Elevated Italian but the dishes also have an old school element.

   We love Cafe Mercado! Great food--even for those of us that are Gluten free--great service and great cocktails & wine. We have become regulars!

   It was horrible! We were first people to come in 5 (party of 3). Asked for booth. They said none available . Shortly after us a woman came in and sat her at table. She asked to sit in booth. They moved her. We ordered 2 glasses of sparkling wine. It tasted like apple juice. Ordered steak medium. It came well done with no bite the same. Some was medium, some medium well, mostly well. My husband ordered the seafood dish that is in a tomato sauce of some sort. So not appetizing or taste good! waitress was horrible. Kept walking by.It was like they put a jar of pasta sauce over some seafood. Waitress never checked on us once but went to everyone else. When she came we barely got the check. Then waited a good 20 minutes. Then waited more to get card back. For a bill of 120ish id expect quality. Do not eat here! We felt sick after.

   This has been our neighborhood go to since 2020. This time we grazed through most of the appetizers. The meatballs were fabulous and the beet and green apple salad counted as dessert.

   Cafe Mercato has been one of our favorite restaurants. However, the last 3 times we have had dinner the food order was incorrectly prepared and had to be remade in haste while the other dinners at the table grew cold. Unfortunately this will be our last visit to Cafe Mercato
