Bringing 1940s Paris to modern-day Edinburgh, Café St Honoré restaurant is a charming bistro serving up traditional French cuisine (with a few Scottish favourites thrown in) to a loyal clientele. Tucked away on a picturesque cobbled lane in the New Town, the cosy dining room at Café St Honore, with mirrored walls and black-and-white tiled floors, provides an atmospheric retreat. The team here are passionate about local, organic produce, so the menu changes daily. There are prix fixe menus on offer at lunch and dinner if you’re after a bargain, or just need an excuse to indulge in dessert. In the evening, a seasonal menu du jour is available alongside the full a la carte, which features dishes like roast pheasant with red cabbage and pancetta; Our warming Cafe St Honore Cassoulet; and vanilla crème brûlée. The wine list features some excellent French wines – a real treat for novices and connoisseurs alike.

We are offering a set 5-course tasting menu on the evening of Sunday 31st December. This menu is priced at £97-50 per head and as with all of our reservations, we are more than happy to cater for dietary requirements provided we are given plenty of advanced warning. We are taking reservations between 6pm-8pm and asking guests to vacate the restaurant by 11pm. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you and please do not hesitate to contact us with any further queries. All reservation are to be made with the restaurant by phone.

Another great meal at one of my favourite Edinburgh restaurants. Café St. Honoré is a fantastic and authentic French bistro with a wonderful seasonal menu which is updated regularly. The quality of the food is outstanding and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. One of our party has some food allergies and they made sure he was able to make informed choices to get a meal he would enjoy. The gluten free bread is amazing and the chefs were on top form. Eating here is always a pleasure and we'll definitely be back again.

Food and service is excellent. The flat iron steak was the best I've had anywhere. Great ambience even though we were down stairs Beverages; think NYC price level But we'll certainly be back ! (just not too thirsty)

The staff were lovely and very accommodating. I didn’t like some of our dishes but that was more a matter of personal taste. I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

This is one of our favorite places to eat in Edinburgh - the food is outstanding and this last visit was no exception. The owner does a fantastic Blog with recipes and is often at the Market in Castle St where you can also enjoy the cuisine.

I'm delighted that Open Table has added noise levels to its reviews. As a person with deafness and also oversensitivity to sound I can only eat out in very few places and Cafe St Honore is one of them, kindly reducing the sound level of already gentle background music. But of course I go for the cooking which as ever was wonderful on my recent visit and the service impeccable.

Very well prepared ahead of time for allergies in our group. Lovely service, great wine choice and excellent food. Definitely one to return to 😊

One of the most unexpected, yet incredible meals out I have ever eaten. We found this restaurant after previous reservations at other places had fallen through and were so pleasantly surprised at the quality and sheer attention to detail that went into every element that sat on the plates infront of us. The constantly changing menu, the electric front of house team, the kitchen that clearly defines itself as driven by passion for good food and the quaint ambience of the hidden, cobbled street cafe all contribute massively a truly unique and unforgettable restaurant experience. I will be paying the cafe a visit every time I find myself up in Edinburgh from now on. Thank you Cafe St Honoré, you were amazing.
