We always enjoy dinner before a show at the PaperMill. It’s never disappointing. The choice of appetizers and entrees. Desserts and drinks are fashioned after the play being performed and it’s fun.

Wonderful experience before the play Mystic Pizza. Food and service were excellent. A little pricey, but you pay for quality. Highly recommended. just a note on the wines listed in the pre fix menu. They only list three wines but they do have an extensive wine list with much more reasonable prices. The white listed in the prefix menu was $71, which is much too much to pay for a bottle of white wine that retails for around $25. And added benefit of dining there before a show is that you are able to access very convenient parking. Nice to just walk out of the restaurant and into the theater.

Although the food was very good, a lighter fare i.e. brunch type foods would be a good option especially when eating before noon

You are paying (handsomely) for the convenience of eating adjacent to the Papermill Playhouse. The food was very good, although the portions were not large (my friend had the "New England Clam Chowder Pot Pie" as a main course, which was essentially a bowl of clam chowder with a pastry top). The baked cod was delicious. Neither of us had a drink, and we both had dessert. Lunch for two people without gratuity totaled $135.00. The dining room was comfortable and the service was pleasant and unrushed. With reservations at 11:15am, we had our choice of parking spaces in the playhouse-adjacent lot A, an added benefit of eating at the Carriage House. Still, neither the food nor the convenience can justify the price, so this was (unfortunately) a one-and-done experience. Pity; we would have loved to make this a recurring part of our Papermill subscription.

We had lunch here today. I had the goat cheese and endive appetizer for the first course. It was a delightful surprise. The duck confit sandwich on raisin bread was also extremely flavorful. We had no room for dessert.

We really enjoyed our lunch at The Carriage House. I highly recommend it. The cost is very expensive, though.

Giovanna was our waitress. She was excellent and personable. Giovanna knew everything on the menu and gave us personal attention. The chef came out and thanked us and asked how the performance was. It felt very much like home.

The lobster pot pie served at the Carriage House was full of delicious lobster and vegetables. Absolutely delicious!

Wonderful food and service. Overall noise level was terrible and definitely detracted from lunch experience.
