Casbah is a neighborhood restaurant and wine bar located in Pittsburgh’s East End. From the
year-round garden patio to the dining room, from the cozy bar to the wine cellar, each visit can
feel like a new and special experience.

Casbah offers a broad menu focused on northern Mediterranean-inspired cuisine from Italy,
Spain, France and Greece that emphasizes local ingredients. All meals start with warm, house
made bread from Eleven’s kitchen. A cheese plate followed by appetizers, a bowl of fresh pasta,
or a four-course meal are all possibilities for an evening at Casbah.

Food was good, service was good and friendly. A little disappointed by our seat option; the restaurant was aware that we were there for a special occasion and we were still seated on the “patio” right next to the door. Overall, I can’t make any real complaints. At the same time, I wasn’t exceedingly impressed so it wouldn’t be my first choice for our next special occasion meal

Absolutely try the octopus, calamari, tuna tartare, and duck. Probably very close to the best we've had. Service from valet to Heather who was simply great.

I have loved Casbah for over 25 years for its food and vibe. Service can be spotty but it’s a place I continue to place at the top of my list for nights out with friends and family.

My group went to the annual Beaujolais Nouveau dinner last night. We have been going since the mid-2010s for that, among brunch and other times. The food was amazing as always and service on point. The issue I have this and last year is the amount y’all are charging for the wine. $48 for a bottle which I can purchase a 3 minute walk down the street for $15? That’s robbery. Not to mention, just a few years ago you used to offer it as unlimited Beaujolais for $20 to accompany the tasting menu. The conviviality of the evening was gone and I’m just confused what $50 is getting me? It makes me reluctant to ever return for this event when I can get 3 bottles of wine for the price you’re charging. I understand there needs to be an upcharge but come on.

The pasta dishes were superb, as was the salad with lump crab meat and avocado. The panini, however, was disappointing. The bread was two slabs of thick, Texas-style bread, and the filling was very thick. Along with the Italian meats and cheese, there was shredded lettuce. If it was cooked on a Panini Press, the chef/cook forgot to close and press it. Obviously, whoever made the Panini has never been to Italy.

Always a pleasant venue for dinner. Service is excellent. Wine selection small but tasteful. Menu could be more creative and vary more. Complementary Parking always a plus.

Food & service was once again outstanding. Special season Mule drink was refreshing, I had the Pork Chop — delicious. One of my favorites. Our server was efficient & went above & beyond to accommodate us.😊👍
