Casbah is a neighborhood restaurant and wine bar located in Pittsburgh’s East End. From the year-round garden patio to the dining room, from the cozy bar to the wine cellar, each visit can feel like a new and special experience.

Casbah offers a broad menu focused on northern Mediterranean-inspired cuisine from Italy, Spain, France and Greece that emphasizes local ingredients. All meals start with warm, house made bread from Eleven’s kitchen. A cheese plate followed by appetizers, a bowl of fresh pasta, or a four-course meal are all possibilities for an evening at Casbah.

                                                            We had a good experience overall. They were very accommodating when we wanted to change our reservation time. Malcom was very engaging as a server. Appetizers were tasty. My husband and son had the filet - both said it was delicious. I ordered the orecchiette with chicken. It was sadly mediocre. The plate it was served in was not warm, subsequently the pasta and chicken cooked very quickly. For a pasta dish at $29 I was hopeful that the pasta would be made in house. Overall a decent experience and I would definite give a second chance.

                                                            The food was so so good. My wife called the calamari the best in Pittsburgh. Our server Nate was awesome and recommended perfect meals. Drinks and desert were some of the best in the city. Complimentary valet parking. Will definitely be back and recommend to anyone wanting to celebrate a birthday/anniversary/treat themselves to a fancy night out!

                                                            Scallop appetizer was excellent although for $21 you would expect more than 2 scallops. Service was exceptional. Olivia was very professional and attentive. The flourless chocolate cake left a lot to be desired. Crème Brulé. Was very good.

                                                            The orecchiette was not very good, way too much cream. Service was extremely slow as we had to wait with empty glasses multiple times. During dessert, the waitress forgot our coffee. We finished the dessert with no beverages at all.

                                                            Knowledgeable and excellent server. Mushroom bisque was outstanding. Short rib ravioli were absolutely delicious-tender filling and wonderfully flavorful presentation. Peaceful evening out in the midst of the busy holiday season!
