I booked a long way ahead to secure a table for my daughter’s birthday, but when we arrived we still had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. This meant standing awkwardly by the check in desk / cloakroom so was. It a great start to the evening. Our waiters was very friendly but made a few small errors such as forgetting to bring a soup spoon and our plates were left uncleared for longer than I would like. Additionally despite me mentioning that it was my daughter’s birthday on the booking, nothing was done to acknowledge this which was rather disappointing. On a positive note, there was a lovely buzzy ambience as always, the food was delicious and the majority of the service was at the standard I would expect.

Lovely restaurant with a great vibe. Food was very good but unfortunately the service wasn't great as we had to keep calling for a server to take our orders.

Very loud. Great service. Charming waiter. Food was good but enormous portions. Half portions of pasta are the way to go.

What has happened to this restaurant? It used to be brilliant... On our latest visit the service was dire. We had to request to order drinks numerous times, some had to be rerequested. The food arrived cold and was sent back, one order didn't come at all so had to be requested later. It was like we were in a blind spot in the restaurant where there was just no service but there was chaos ensuing all around us. The food was ok but nothing better than a standard Italian. My mother's birthday was completely forgotten, even though the receptionist asked me whose birthday it was.. Then to add insult to injury about half an hour after we left my husband was really sick from the food and had to rush to a toilet on the way home. All this for £355 for 5 people. Really?

A very convivial lunch. Food and service first class with a good wine list . A tad on the noisy side which made conversation a little more difficult but didn't stop us enjoying ourselves . We will return

We have been here a few times and had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately our wait and lack of welcome at the door was quite poor and unusual. Food was excellent as always, and our waiter lovely. It was our anniversary and we requested a window seat for two which we didn’t get, but couples after us were shown to one. We booked well in advance.

Very delicious food and perfect service especially agnes was sooo lovely and sweet. we loved it!

we shared the parmigiana, then had the lobster pasta and then the veal sccallopini. All excellent! We go to Cecconis whenever we are in London.
