   1 star review for this very disappointing experience whilst dining @ Cecconi’s. The starters were good - but the mains were less than adequate. The bolognese was watered down and the ribeye was tough and had an enormous amount of fat. The staff were not friendly nor helpful. They seemed to not care about the diners. We had servers giving us & other tables eye rolls. We also overheard them talking negatively about some of the tables around us. Very unprofessional.

   Good food, nice staff, but we had problems with the service. When seated at the bar, had a rude bar waiter who did his best to ignore us and then talked down to us when he finally deigned to acknowledge us. At the table we had a much nicer waiter, who then vanished for 20 minutes after bringing us our water and bread (apparently it was his dinner break). Things improved when we complained to the manager, but service was still slow. When you’re paying top Mayfair prices and a 14.5% service charge, you deserve to be treated nicely and receive good service. Food was good and portions generous, but difficult to relax with so much of the service going wrong, and who wants to be talked down to by an arrogant bar waiter?

   Every occasion we come to London we always have breakfast here. To say it’s our favourite place is an understatement. Food, service, ambiance and great value for money. Always good to catch up with Marcello - a great face of Cecconi’s. Be back soon.
