   If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience, Char Steakhouse never disappoints. What makes this place truly special isn't just the incredible food – it's the feeling that you're being welcomed into someone's home. The owner greets everyone personally and pitches in alongside the staff, creating a warmth that's rare in upscale restaurants. We started with the grilled octopus, which was absolutely perfect – tender and beautifully seasoned. But the real magic happened when our filet mignons arrived. I know it sounds like a cliché, but these steaks truly do melt in your mouth. Every bite was pure bliss. Our server Niki deserves special praise. She had that wonderful ability to appear exactly when needed while letting us enjoy our evening uninterrupted. Actually, the entire staff worked seamlessly together, from the attentive busboys to the owner himself. It's clear why this has become our favorite restaurant. The best part? This wasn't a one-time lucky experience. Char Steakhouse delivers this level of excellence every single time we visit. It's the kind of place that makes any occasion feel special, whether you're celebrating something big or just craving an amazing steak dinner.

   Although I would like to return to try more dishes, there were several issues that might deter me. First, parking was extremely challenging, and I ended up having to park on a snowbank. The server was friendly and attentive, but seemed overwhelmed by the number of tables he was managing. The food was excellent, but the meal took a long time to enjoy; we sat down at 6:30 PM and didn't leave until close to 9 PM. It was also extremely loud. I would definitely consider going back to try more, but just be aware of these concerns.

   Table by the fire was lovely. The noise level was so loud we could hardly converse. I chose to have salad and lobster bisque, and wedge salad for dinner. The bisque was lovely except for the rubbery pieces of lobster floating in the velvety smooth bisque. The octopus came with the salad and so was tepid when I got to eat it. The octopus was not charred- a surprise considering the restaurant’s name. The waiter could not have been lovelier. The cocktails were divine. The afgato did not disappoint. The evening started out badly when there was no parking. You need a valet service on busy nights.

   We love the menu on Tuesday nights. Food is always wonderful and staff is professional and friendly. Jessica was wonderful and attentive.

   Food was hit and miss. Our shrimp on 2 different dishes was overcooked and had zero seasoning. My lobster ravioli has a nice flavor with the sauce. I also got a pear martini and it was the worst pear martini I had ever had. Just tasted like sour pear. Had ice chunks in it and was cloudy in appearance. A good martini is clear, chilled without any ice chunks and has balanced flavors. Crab cakes were good. Spouse got a risotto dish that was more expensive than the steak and had zero flavor to it. Very disappointed.

    Food was excellent. A bit on the high end but worth it. Service was excellent. We service next to a window . It had bit of a draft , so a bit chilly. Would go again.
