   Made a reservation and was seated on there cafeteria section. Ordered Scallop Appetizer and was cold and horrible tasting so we sent back and did not want a replacement. Our pizza came 1.25hrs later and was the worst tasting pizza ever! Frozen pizza had more flavor! This was good food years ago when we use to go quite often but not anymore. VERY DISAPPOINTED ! ESPECIALLY ON VALENTINE'S DAY. The table right next to us was Very DISAPPOINTED also

   Dined here a few different times and always pleased with our experience. Great cozy place with excellent friendly staff and manager. Appetizers, especially the steak bites were very tender & flavourful. 4 of the 6 dinners were excellent, served hot and delicious. Unfortunately the other 2, steak dinners were not tender and no where in comparison to the steak bites. Had steak & lobster here before and it was excellent. Overall, the group agrees the dining experience was excellent and we will definitely be back. Thanks for an enjoyable New Year’s Eve!

   We have been to this restaurant before and had good food, great service and been able to carry on a conversation. There was a birthday party happening when we went, and had there not been a power outage almost everywhere but there, we would have left when we arrived. The noise level was outrageous and there were no inside washrooms because the hotel is undergoing renovations. I would recommend that when they book in a birthday party of that size that they close the restaurant to other patrons. We may go back once the renovations are complete. Using a porta potty in the middle of winter is less than ideal.

   I had a house red, and it seemed off. The steak was not your Keg like style but had the same price as the Keg. Service was attentive and courteous. Chairs were uncomfortable.

   We always enjoy Charcoal and Woodz. The owners try very hard to make the dining experience enjoyable for everyone. The Mother’s Day buffet was extremely popular this year and the noon seating was very busy so the line was very long but the food once you got to it was great.

   Dinner with friends. Food was excellent. A little louder than usual because the Canucks hockey game was on, but we knew that before going. We sat in the back dining area and the that was all right.

   It was our first time at Charcoal and Woodz. The place was very nice and the staff were very good. We would go back there again for a meal. We both had the steak and lobster and it was very good, we had the tomato basil soup and it was nice and hot.

   Went out for dine out menu this year! The service was good. Waitress and owner stopped by to see how the food was and if we had any concerns. Excellent wine list per my dining companions. Food was great for the price point. Ambiance was quiet enough that we weren’t shouting to be heard. Would come again.

   Normally this place is a great experience with good service and the food is excellent. My friend and I took advantage of Dine Out Vancouver and ordered off that menu. Unfortunately our dinner was bland - my steak was over cooked and the lobster meat was barely there and mashed potatoes were the only thing on the plate - veggies were an additional cost! My friend’s prime rib was okay but our meals were in no way memorable. The restaurant had only about 5 tables in it but our service was very slow and we had to ask the server twice for our desserts.

    We were very impressed with this restaurant tucked away adjacent to the Holiday Inn in Cloverdale. The food was excellent and the service was family friendly. The owner Dave stopped by our table and we had a wonderful conversation with him. Definitely recommend.
