From the time Chauhan opened and for about 5 years, it was my go to birthday spot, but I fell off for a wile. Of course, I was back in the between times, but have not been back for a birthday dinner for a good while. I decided to go back for a birthday dinner again this year, and I was DEFINITELY not disappointed. Met up with 5 good friends, 2 of which had never had Indian food of any kind. We started with the tandoori chicken poutine, mussels, and whipped paneer. I’m not a mussel eater, but tried one and it was fantastic. The poutine is a favorite of mine and I will be ever not get it. Wonderful as usual. The whipped paneer was a huge hit with everyone at the table. We didn’t get a huge variety of entrees. 4 of us ordered the paneer napoleon with various sauces and the other 2 got the braised pork shank. The pork looked like something from the Flintstones and was so tender and juicy. My best friend took the bones to boil down for a split pea soup she was planning to make today. We also got the short rib French onion naan. Everyone’s first reaction was “OMG!” Including my mother when I brought her the small piece left over. It was a bit hard to have conversation, with the noise level and the booth we got was a bit tight as most of us are a little on the fluffy side, but overall it was a GREAT dinner. Everyone loved what they got. We were also given a piece of chocolate brownie or cake (didn’t look like anything in the menu) with some ice cream and 6 forks. We had talked about ordering dessert but ended up each having a couple of bites of this and we were satisfied. Everyone wants to go back and I will gladly join them!

We love this restaurant and it never disappoints. Last night our server, Jordan was fantastic. We took a friend from out of town and he loved it as well. Best Indian restaurant in Nashville. Portions are large so easy to share or take home leftovers. We can't wait to go back soon.

10 out of 10. I've been wanting to go to this place for a long time. I've watched Maneet cooking on television for a while and after seeing her cooking I knew I had to try it so after I moved down to KY I knew I had to make the drive to Nashville to try her food and it was amazing. The service was great and we even caught a glimpse of Maneet! She spoke with another larger table then ended up going out back but I wish she would have made rounds and said hi. We wanted to ask our server to see if we could say hi but I'm shy and I also didn't want to be weird asking to say hi or be rude and interrupt as I'm sure she was busy. Haha anyways it was awesome. I hope to go for dinner one of these days.

The food was delicious! We ordered three different dishes. They were all delicious. We had lunch the first time and went back for dinner to get the TOC dish and take the rest of our family. Thank you Maneet and Congrats on your TOC belts! Well done!

The food was average, not really good. We didn’t enjoy the whipped paneer and the owner & manager were not very receptive. Instead of asking us why we didn’t enjoy it they both insisted that we should pay for it, we ate two out of the four pieces of naan that accompanied the paneer (which we did not even eat after one bite of it). They could have suggested trying a different appetizer. We are very aware of fusion Indian cuisine and have tried Whipped paneer at the Conrad Nashville which was very good, hence we thought we would try it at Chauhan. We know Indian fusion cuisine quite well and would give this place a 2/5. The restaurant was freezing. The temperature in Nashville was below 0 and the heat was definitely not on. The owner seems to be cheap and all about making money . Lots of other good options in Nashville to consider. I wouldn’t come back here . 👎🏽

We had a fantastic server who explained the menu and made her recommendations. Our menu choice was shared between the two of us we had some curry left and our server was nice enough to give us extra rice to enjoy the curry. We took our pics of Maneets two TOC belts sadly she wasn’t there. Highly recommend!
