Le Cibo Wine Bar situé sur la rue Yonge...Copieux, généreux et où il fait bon vivre. Le Cibo est le plus grand et le plus récent restaurant italien dans le coin de Uptown Yonge Street. Créé par le Liberty Entertainment Group, ce bel espace audacieux de 10 000 pieds carrés est un chic mélange des styles rustique, industriel et moderne. La cuisine traditionnelle faite à la main du Cibo... c'est le goût authentique de la cuisine du sud, fraîchement apprêtée devant vous sur un plan de travail de près de 40 pieds carrés. La réserve, primée, comporte 2500 bouteilles de vin disposées sur deux étages. Un équipement sophistiqué, tel un ange-sommelier, ira récupérer votre bouteille préférée. En passant par le bar animé industriel chic jusqu'à la terrasse décontractée du Cibo, chaque coin du restaurant offre une expérience nettement différente. Ce célèbre restaurant ne serait pas complet sans l'oeuvre originale du célèbre artiste, Mr. Brainwash. Lorsque vous êtes sur la rue Yonge, le Cibo est indéniablement l'endroit à ne pas manquer!

I decided to rate this particular visit differently this time. Lower than usual. If Nadine is not in, things can easily fall apart. We made a reservation of 4. We introduced our friends to CIBO. We came on time, they took us upstairs to the chaos and bday parties area, sat us in a very big table that’s not suited for 4. We couldn’t handle how loud this kids and teenagers were. We requested to go downstairs, they accepted that but they told us to take our water glasses with us downstairs. Some of us did and some refused. This is absolutely weird and inconvenient that you walk around the restaurant with your water glasses. They sat us on the table of 4 which is not that spacious while there was a better table of 4 (booth) that they sat 3 people after us. Service was on the slow side but consistent in this place but usually under control efficiently. They forgot our special request of bday celebration. We reminded them after we paid and they went to check with the back. They came with the bday treat and candles but it was so awkward and the ruined the plan. No more good salads from 2 years ago or so. The salads became just like an average restaurant. Next time I’ll make sure that Nadine works on that evening before I book. Our friends didn’t see it a special place after all.

What a stroke of luck that we managed to have caught what appears to be the very last brunch Cibo before they close permanently. Our server was a total gem, honouring the bottomless mimosas until we could barely speak (that was good planning on her part). The food, even at the end of the brunch shift, was fresh and lovely, each of us getting different dishes made to our specific preferences. It was rather strange to be in that cavernous space with only a couple of other occupied tables, but sitting in the window, watching the world go by, we had a very entertaining time. Whoever moves into this venue will have a lot to live up to.

Have had better times here. Seems they were just alittle off this evening. Food still very good and large portions

As usual, Nadine was terrific. She remembered the wine we usually have & reminded the kitchen we like olive oil on the pizza to prevent it from drying out. And she’s friendly & helpful. We’re going to book next week which we gather will be our last meal before Cibo closes. We’re so disappointed as we’ve come to look forward to our lovely monthly dinners. Hope the staff are well looked after

Half price pizza night…..maybe I hit a bad night or made a bad choice…bland rubbery Mozzarella Di Bufala pizza with a 3” crust all around. Serving staff very nice.

Food was really good and enjoyed the wild mushrooms pasta there! The service was great and atmosphere is great for us to be able to comfortably talk during our time.

The person handling the phone was incredibly helpful and friendly and put servers Mary & Andrew were AMAZING!!!! Very attentive and so pleasant! Great night out 🙂
