A new generation of Italian cuisine - fresh, light and authentic. By using proper cooking techniques, our flavors are natural and pure. Our menu is a homage to our region Calabria and southern Italian roots reflecting what is being served in Italy today. You can also find an extensive vegan menu that incorporates many of the best Italian dishes. We have been the first restaurant in the USA to have a full Italian Vegan menu since 2015! We believe in sustainability, both in our food and in the design of our restaurant. While our menu focuses on locally grown and seasonal ingredients, our bar and dining areas were created using reclaimed, natural materials. Nothing goes to waste at Civico 1845!

I never leave negative reviews, but I was really excited about trying a new place for a special night out with family and friends and we were so disappointed. It has icon status and the reviews were great so I was sure it was going to be a solid meal. We used to live in Italy and I was looking forward to Calabrian food. First of all, our server Leo was extremely inattentive. We arrived at 3:15 and did not finish until 4:50pm. We waited at least 20 minutes for a server to come towards the back of the restaurant to ask for our check. People were being seated, but we never saw our server. We asked two different employees to let him know we were ready for the check. After some time, another server came out and said he left and never told her he was turning the table over to her. Mind you, he was there up until our main entrées were served, but never came back to check on us—nor did he let us know he was leaving. The food—my friend ordered the tagliatelle but when they brought it out, it was fettuccine. When we asked for clarification, the manager told us it was just another name for tagliatelle? As I said, I lived in Italy, but even if you have never lived in Italy nor visited Italy, there is a good chance you know that tagliatelle and fettuccine are not, in fact, the same pasta. The fettuccine was so overcooked. It looked more like rice noodles. I had the seafood pasta and it was on the more bland side. Calabrian food typically has so much flavor and it lacking. My Bellini was delicious however it was not a Bellini – it was made “in the spirit” of a Bellini. Meaning, there is no peach purée and I wasn’t getting much effervescence from the Prosecco—tasted more like a cocktail served straight up. Since we were never checked on once our food arrived, that also meant we were also not offered any more water, drinks, dessert or coffee. Our server left a lot of money on the table by giving poor service. This was a fail all around.

Amazing experience. The level of service, quality of food, and utmost professionalism by the owner was nothing short of a perfect experience.

Muy poco recomendable!! Muy mala la comida y el lugar no vale nada la pena visitarlo. Hay otros mucho más ricos en Little Italy.

Service was great; dinner equally as good. We ordered from both the traditional and vegan menu. The only disappointment was the pistachio ice cream dessert from the vegan menu - the ice cream was rock hard, very difficult to eat. We had the same dessert previously and the ice cream then was silky smooth. Probably an outlier, but still…

Very good food and service was great but the noise level was pretty high when we first arrived at 6:30 and the 4 of us could not hear each other. They may have lowered the music or maybe a noisy group left because it did get better after about 20 min.

Having been to Italy many times, the bread and pesto sauce were good, chicken was good too.
