It was a typical busy New Years Eve but we have eaten at Clinkerdaggers probably 20 of the last 40 New Years Eves and not had service like last night. Our server was friendly but she was not around. I saw other servers who were working the areas around us more than our own. I felt she rushed us, we sat, she dropped off cocktail napkins but did not take our drink order then disappeared. When she did return she wanted our drink AND food order! Waited about 20 minutes for our wine to arrive. Bread plates on the table but no bread, other servers were taking bread to their tables. We sat for almost an hour before the soup and salad arrived. It was a set 3 course menu which I wasn't aware of but that was fine. I had looked at the regular menu ahead of time and planned my meal so I was a bit surprised but I understand on a busy night itveould make it easier. I still love Clinkerdaggers and will not let one bad night spoil our special place. Food was, as always, wonderful! Ambience was great.

The Clinkkerdagger is a very nice restaurant. The location is close to downtown just north of the Spokane River. I started with the prickly pear margarita which was excellent. We then had the calamari and clam chowder, which were both very good. The calamari is a very large portion so be ware. The bread was ok. They put garlic butter on the bread before bringing it to the table. I prefer to put the toppings on myself. I'm not a fan of a lot of garlic and the butter had a lot of garlic in it. So much so that it was hard to taste the bread. I had the ribeye steak which was done to perfection. The accompanying asparagus and mashed potatoes were also good. My wife had the Chilean sea bass, which was a bit overcooked, but was good. We were celebrating our 39th anniversary so we were provided a choice of crème brulée or chocolate cake on the house. We chose the crème brulée which was excellent. It was topped with strawberries and blueberries. The service was excellent at first, but dropped off a bit after the meal was served. She forgot two items and brought out the wrong item on one occasion. She was very polite and friendly. She was also a bit slow to check in so my wife had to ask for more water. I also had to remind her that I had ordered a second drink that she had forgotten to pick up at the bar. Overall, we had a good experience. The key is that the food was good. I recommend this restaurant and will return if I get the chance.

Steak and prime rib were not hot when they arrived Couple next to us celebrating 53 wedding anniversary didn’t get their food after arriving at 530. They got up and left at 645. Disappointing experience. The Clinks of my childhood had the best prime rib on the planet and the service was top notch. The steaks were bland as was the prime rib.

Food and service was great. Make sure you have reservations. The wait without reservations was very long. The only downside I could see was that it was a little pricey and between the background music and people trying to talk over it, it was very loud. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

After a bad experience at Clinkerdagger in 2019 (my wife’s 60th birthday) we swore we would never return, however we decided to give them another try last night (Dec 2024). I can say, without a doubt, it was the best meal I’ve had at a restaurant in recent memory! We had the Calimari, Macadamian-crusted Brie, Point Reyes blue cheese salad, and filet mignon…all of which were superb.
